PREMIERE: Alan Cerra - Blackout (Original Mix) [ONEDOTSIXTWO]

Madloch's 3rd Avenue label is excited to welcome back Australian producer Mars Monero for the remixes of his previously released "The Mapmaker's Dementia EP". The title track receives a remix treatment by Kalima & Zambo. Kalima, who previously released two originals on the label as part of the "Three Of A Kind EP" at the end of last year, has also made remarkable releases on labels like Hoomidas, TRYBESof, and The Purr. His partner Zambo makes his production and label debut on this remix.

The talented St.Ego, who needs no introduction, delivers another quality remix. In less than two years, he has become one of the most prolific producers on the label.

For "Copacetica," Argentinian producer Aske Izan provides a remix. Aske Izan has previously released on our label as well as on The Soundgarden and For A Memory. One of his tracks was featured on Balance 031 mixed by Tim Green.

Closing the release is Australian producer James Martin with his exceptional remix. Last year, he was one of the winners of the Sound Avenue remix contest for Madloch & Subnode's "Hybreath".

Ben made his debut on the label a year ago on the "We Are The Future" compilation, and he has also contributed to our sublabel, Future Avenue, with his track "Forest Of The Cuckoo," recently featured on the renowned Budda Bar compilation CD.

Ben Pierre - Aurora [3rd Avenue]

First making their collaborative debut in April 2023, Matias Carafa and Jonatan Ramonda now reprise that pairing a year on with the "Morph" EP on Particles. Both accomplished DJs in their Rosario home in the central Argentinean province of Santa Fe, Matias Carafa's residency at the city's Shambala club quickly saw him rise to prominence alongside John Digweed and Dave Seaman. Similarly, a production career that has seen a double century of credits for the likes of Balkan Connection, Superordinate Music and 3rd Avenue, have lit up his portfolio. Jonatan Ramonda has also found himself a regular across the clubs of his hometown, while a century of releases on a plethora of high-profile imprints has seen his music feature on Mistique Music, Balkan Connection South America and The Purr.

Now joining forces again after a debut on Endless with "Dhyana", "Morph" is a slow rhythmic burner that revels in a deep groove and clicking percussive top line. Full of contemplative melodic intensity, muted stabs sit alongside vibrato keys and sub-bassline. Building through the early phases, an open filtered breakdown sequence paves the way for a subtle urgency to build into the second half with smooth arpeggiated flow. Characterised by a chunky rhythmic foundation, "Drop" builds on the deep sonic flavour of its predecessor with a swathe of atmospheric effects and huge reverb tails. Delicate melodies ripple and float across the 7-minute piece as it swells to a rousing intensity at the mid-point crescendo. Dropping back into a hefty dancefloor beat in the second half, the repeated motifs develop their own rhythmic cadence.

A legendary figure within the progressive community, Pole Folder has been a mainstay of the scene for over two decades. Making his name with a debut release and album on Bedrock Records, the Belgian artist has been a regular across his homeland where he was voted "Best DJ" in 2010 through his innovative sets. A regular across Proton Music since 2006 and Particles since 2012, a raft of production material has seen Pole Folder enthral with "Serengeti", "Mara" and "A Glimpse into the Past" whilst remixes for Ferdy, Michael A and Eric Lune & Domingo + have witnessed more production wizardry. Returning to Particles, the Pole Folder remix of "Morph" is a typically elegant affair, bristling with melodic brilliance and dancefloor prowess. Trademark original melodies, vie with those found in Matias' and Jonatan's original as a huge sustained bassline rumbles across the low-end to provide emotion and beauty aplenty. Making immaculate use of original components, the Belgian's skill is to construct a magical new interpretation full of dynamism and vitality.

Superb original tracks from Matias Carafa & Jonatan Ramonda have also seen Pole Folder "Morph" their music in wondrous new directions.

Chris Barag - Zenith (Xspance Remix) [Future Avenue]

The latest release from Ruben Karapetyan’s RKP welcomes Matt Oliver to the label for his debut EP. On the strength of early tracks such as 2021’s ‘Spirit’ and ‘Missing’, the Brazilian artist quickly caught the interest of progressive music fans. Having success marrying the nostalgic grooves of the genre with emotional melodies and club-effective rhythms, Matt became a newcomer to watch. The next two calendar years would see Matt continue to perfect his craft, and in turn land standout projects via long-standing imprints such as BCSA, Mango Alley, The Purr and Transensations. Now, as one Brazil’s top progressive house prospects, Matt adds RKP to his resume with ‘Collison’, alongside remixes from The Wash and Anton MAKe. 

Matt continues to explore his groovy style on his latest studio offering ‘Collision’. Deep and fluid throughout, it's a framework of warm kick drums and mesmerizing rhythms which lay the foundation for flashing percussion, cross-cultural accents and soulful overlays to create a smooth first act. A darker monochrome of effects adds further depth and space, as melodies open up and push the journey forward, bringing with them a cruising vibe leading into the break. Keeping rhythm locked across the interlude, Matt showcases his keen dancefloor sensibility, in turn building anticipation with clustered drums,before eventually shifting energy into a finale that is equal parts effortless and uplifting.

The first interpretation of ‘Collision’ is provided by The Wash who makes his label debut. As a DJ first, Austrian artist The Wash has spent nearly two decades in the electronic music underground. A ten-year stretch as a DJ would find the Vienna resident programming music for some of his country’s trendiest venues, before eventually embarking on a career as a producer in 2016. The next seven years would see The Wash build an enviable portfolio, highlighted by releases via Forensic , UV and Mango Alley, the latter of which operates as his primary home. With a contribution to Global Underground’s ‘Select’ series to begin the year, The Wash now adds RKP to his resume with a huge interpretation of ‘Collision’. Opting for a dubbier, more groove-centric approach, The Wash aims squarely at the dancefloor, taking the track into subversive territory, as haunting overlays and deconstructed sonics converge for an otherworldly experience, while an acid-tinged break fully saturates your senses onwards to a trippy finale. 

The release concludes with Anton MAKe also making his label debut with the second and final interpretation of ‘Collision’. Russian artist Anton MAKe crafts music that is both groovy and musical, often incorporating vocal elements to create a different level of depth and space. First emerging nearly a decade ago, the Kazan resident would rise into one of progressive music’s top tier artists with releases via Juicebox Music, Mango Alley, Proton Music, Replug, WARPP and most recently Analog Jungs Constellation imprint. Now, as a longtime favourite of Cid Inc, Hernan Cattaneo and Nick Warren, Anton debuts on RKP with a groovy take on ‘Collision’. Mysterious and thought-provoking throughout, it's a heady amalgamation of sound which makes for a club-effective yet uniquely rhythmic journey, elegantly flowing through uplifting melodic clusters and hopeful overlays, before a set of fuzzed-out chord stabs highlights an immersive break, perfectly setting up a thumping finale to close the release out on a groovy note.
