The sun was lighting up the view out my window and I was hooked on the melody and beat I had going on. A couple of beers created a sudden urge to try singing a vocal line on the tune. Mariano Montori is an Argentinian DJ / Producer in constant growth on the scene.

His productions have been recognized and supported by great artists such as Hernán Cattaneo, Nick Warren, John Digweed, Lonya, Marcelo Vasami, Baunder, Mariano Mellino, Kevin Di Serna, Facundo Mohr, Dale Middleton, Nicolas Rada, Nick Varon, among other international artists.

He shared booth in important clubs and events in Buenos Aires with local DJs, such as Martín García, Marcelo Vasami, Kevin Di Serna, Mike Griego, Juan Hansen, Mariano Mellino, Simón Vuarambon, Interaxxis and Fernando Ferreyra. And with international dDjs like Eran Aviner, Andrea Cassino, MUUI, Kollektiv Turmstrasse and Garden Of God.

In 2018 he made his first Europe tour and managed to bring his sound to some of the main scenes of electronic music: Moscow, Antwerp, Berlin and Barcelona.

He is currently residing in Barcelona and  working on new material that will soon go on sale for international labels.

Half of this set are HIS own productions and edits in which stands out the next EP to be released by Random Rec and the Edit to Guy Gerber with free download through progressive astronaut.

A subtle difference, distinction, or variation; a subtle quality.
A sensibility to, awareness of, or ability to express delicate gradations of a meaning (as of an attitude or expression) or of a form (as of its values, textures, or shades, tints, or tones of color, etc.). "Nuance" came to English in the late 18th century, having been "nubes" in Latin, then "nue" in Middle French, each meaning "cloud." In later French, "nue" developed into "nuer" meaning "to make shades of color."

This word is used in music to denote the various modifications of time, force, and expression, which are the most prominent characteristic of modern music, whether indicated by the composer or inserted by the performer.

Each month I will be posting a new exclusive mix specially made with the tracks I love at the moment produced by super talented artists around the globe. You can expect a deeper side of me, some others more club oriented, some live sets recorded at my gigs, even some downtempo sets, this way you can enjoy this mixes in your car going to work, on your vacations, on your chill out sessions with friends, etc.

Madloch's Sound Avenue imprint continues a strong spring season by showcasing new interpretations of Eric Lune's ‘Embers'. Originally released in October of 2019, it's smooth yet euphoric moods saw play from Hernan Cattaneo, while also being one of the Aussie artist's best selling tracks of the year. Now looking to revive this musical gem for the warm months ahead, Sound Avenue invites Death On The Balcony and GMJ to re-imagine the track.

Sitting at the heart of the organic house underground are Death On The Balcony. Arriving on the scene more than a decade ago, the UK duo have compiled an impressive resume, highlighted by releases on All Day I Dream, Akbal Music, Do Not Sit On The Furniture and Kindisch. Balad - A Half Remembered Dream (Zone+ Remix) [Sound Avenue]

The latest release from Sound Avenue finds Madloch and Subnode presenting their new single ‘Pattern Lock’. Being paired since the summer of 2018, the creative synergy between Madloch & Subnode has continued to grow. The Belgian duo have released four originals and a remix since beginning their collaborative partnership. A recent studio remodel has spawned new inspirations and a wealth of new material as a result. Now, in a year that has already yielded the glacial soundscapes of ‘Abyssal’, Madloch and Subnode unveil their latest studio creation alongside remixes from Dance Spirit and Jayden Klight.

Mysterious and mystical, the original mix sets the tone for the release with a gorgeous blend of layered beats and exotic drums. Mountainous bass stabs then come in clusters, uniquely manicured with a dubbed-out quality, while drifting arps and tension filled tones fully saturate your senses. Melting down into the main break, effervescent lines percolate in the cavernous wasteland below, before perfectly segueing into a percussive drop and meditative finale. 

The first interpretation of ‘Pattern Lock’ is provided by Dance Spirit who make their label debut. Long time favourites of Audiofly and John Digweed, the US duo have been in the pursuit subconscious harmony through rhythm, timbre, melody and movement. This unique amalgamation has seen them find a home on Balance Music, Bedrock, Get Physical and Watergate Records. Now continuing what has been a prolific year, Dance Spirit remodel ‘Pattern Lock’ into a slice of modern techno music. Always creative remixers, the Los Angeles duo deconstruct the main elements into newfound themes for what sits as an ideal complement to the original. From tough, percussive beginnings comes emerging arps, esoteric rhythms and billowing bass tones. As percussion continues to drive the narrative, an impactful break bends the sonic envelope through devilish electronics and phasing harmonics. Perhaps one for the more astute connoisseur, it’s a unique and tastefully twisted marriage which plays out over an unpredictable and monumentally satisfying final movement. 

Also making his label debut and providing the second and final interpretation of ‘Pattern Lock’ is Jayden Klight. Arriving on the scene three years ago, the US artist has compiled a short but impressive resume, highlighted by releases on L'enfant terrible, Nie Wieder Schlafen and Seven Villas. Now following a remix for label affiliate Crossfade Sounds, Jayden debuts on Sound Avenue with a spirited take on ‘Pattern Lock’. Warm beats and exotic percussion set the foundation for a free-flowing narrative of charming motifs. Soulful vocal samples drift over the framework for impassioned moments, while dusty artefacts and incandescent tones add nicely to its meditative quality. Smooth, seductive and a touch romantic, it’s an elegant journey into the depths of organic house from one of the genre's brightest up and coming talents. It rounds out a welcome return to Sound Avenue for Madloch and Subnode. a duo who continue to explore new sonic territory with great success.

Madloch, Subnode - Pattern Lock (Jayden Klight Remix) [Sound Avenue]

Madloch’s Sound Avenue continues a successful year by welcoming Nopi back to the label for his debut EP. The Ukrainian artist and organic house favourite has highlighted 2020 with a pair of remixes for the Belgian imprint, reworking Bigasti & Balad’s ‘The Days’ and ‘Pearl’ by Paula OS. Having built an impressive resume at just over eighteen months into his production journey, the Ukrainian talent also calls Akbal Music, Kindisch, Seven Villas and When We Dip XYZ home. Now embarking on his first EP project for Sound Avenue, Nopi presents his much anticipated four track showcase ‘Where To Go’ 

Already beloved for his melody crafting prowess, that sentiment will only grow with the title selection ‘Where To Go’. Anchored by a warm, progressive minded groove, its atmospheric scope comes up quickly, with glowing overlays and blissful vocal wails layering a bed of finely tuned percussion. The vocal narrative takes centrestage across the main break; emotive and hopeful in equal measure, it resonates beautifully against a wave of meditative arps, flowing through tasteful modulation as the groove drops for a finale of nostalgic chord changes.

Expanding his portfolio further, Nopi works with Argentinean vocalist Sarah Chilanti on the EP’s second selection ‘Flatter’. Its well carved groove is fluid yet funky; perfectly contoured and characterized by undulating sonics. It provides the perfect foundation for waves of exotic percussion and buoyant rhythmic themes, as Sarah’s enchanting wails and cascading piano’s trail across a heartfelt centrepiece, before a gentle rush cues an impassioned final movement.

The EP’s midway point finds Nopi exploring a deeper narrative with ‘Hookan Idyll’. From stripped down beginnings comes hopeful atmospheres and redolent shades, slowly descending over dulcet beats, organic drums and dusty artefacts. As the narrative evolves so too does its emotive appeal, with hazy harmonics and vocal fragments trailing over the framework, before a misty break effortlessly segues into a charming final act.

Rounding out the release are the deeper, ethereal vibes of ‘Sense In Nature’. Known for sitting comfortably between progressive and organic house, Nopi’s borderless vision fuels this meditative gem. It’s warm beats, perfectly sculpted bass and effervescent percussion unite for a fluid rhythmic core. Buzzing effects and cross-cultural overlays then advance the narrative with an effortless ease, splitting moods between the surreal and soulful. Building to a robust rumble, the centrepiece captivates and excites with its dynamic pulses, before gently accelerating to a tasteful crescendo. It rounds out a spirited collection of music from Nopi, making his first original project for Sound Avenue a most memorable one.

Madloch’s Sound Avenue imprint welcomes Mariner + Domingo to the label for their debut EP.  The US artists have an extensive history in electronic music, dating all the way back to the early nineties when the Florida club scene was a central hub for the movement. With a sound that resonates between organic and progressive house, the US duo have re-emerged over the course of 2020. Releases via Balkan Connection, One Of A Kind, RYNTH and The Purr have been vehicles for their romantic melodies and exotic rhythms. Seemingly a perfect fit for Sound Avenue’s music policy, the duo now make their first appearance on the label with ‘Le’ Carnival’. 

Mariner + Domingo’s rapid rise continues with three stunning pieces of music, beginning the appropriately titled ‘Le’ Carnival’. Played out over a vibrant eight-minute journey, a narrative of vocal fragments and Mediterranean motifs gets intertwined with rolling bass lines, organic drums and playful musicality. Acting as the thematic core, the centrepiece showcases a carnival inspired vocal narrative, as a maze of luminous clusters provides a gorgeous segue into a heavenly finale. 

The second selection ‘Beneath Pretty Lights’ comes with a greater organic sensibility. Building in waves, it’s warm beats, exotic percussion and fluid rhythms are a delight for the senses. Misty arps drift across billowing bass tones, while indistinct vocals add depth and character throughout the first act. Furthering the romantic storyboard, the main break elevates mood through additional vocal phrasing, before a hazy harmonic drift shifts energy into an enchanting drop. 

Rounding out the release is the tastefully restrained yet rhythmically powerful ‘Kampfire’. Soulful instrumentation and colourful percussion sit perfectly over tepid beats and bulbous bass tones. Trippy yet playful, it’s cascading keys are beautifully interwoven, providing a magical transition into a daydream worthy finale. It caps off a hugely successful project from one of the organic house scene’s fastest rising duos, furthering solidifying Sound Avenue’s place in the burgeoning genre.
