Already loaded with a heritage that dates back to the early 1990s, Tranquil Elephantizer cues up the last ever Futureboogie single with the cosmically charged ‘Moon City’ EP.  LA’s Warehouse Preservation Society come correct with a remix of the title track.

As stalwarts of the UK & US West-coast scene Tranquil Elephantizer have notched up live & DJ performances across the globe as well as heralded releases for Wicked, Matrix, Definitive, Language and Primal. Now firmly rooted in San Francisco, lead producer DJ Shakra has kept the vibe alive over three decades and still bounces tracks across continents with original members; Alexi Worrall, Crispin J Glover and the Kedros Brothers.  Darius Kedros delivers here on additional production and mixing duties, with relatively new crew member ‘Alcyone’ bringing another level of keyboard & modular synth mastery, elevating proceedings further into the ethereal realms.

Across two mixes of ‘Moon City’, ‘Sugarlump’ and ‘Slow Brew’, transcendental vibes are set, as acid licks and sci-fi kicks are explored amongst the distinctly dubwise beats and heavyweight bass tones.  Ambient house never sounded so relevant as it does now, and the ‘Moon City’ EP drips with this esoteric sound.

Warehouse Preservation Society follow up their Futureboogie released ‘Endlessly’ EP with a stellar remix of ‘Moon City’, as chugging beats, industrious percussion and a toxic brew of kaleidoscopic synths, pianos and 303 bassline bizzness makes for a most heady experience.

On the second release of the year, The Magic Movement put together an eclectic minicompilation featuring Islandman, Sphynx, Mux, and Anton Kling! Just in time for spring, these four brand new tracks will bring some sun and heat to the finally reopened dancefloors!
The compilation kicks off by welcoming the Istanbul-based electro-acoustic band Islandman to the family. Their ‘Magic Workout’ is a house-infused downbeat ride blended with percussive synths and crispy beats. Inspired by Fela Kuti and Tony Allen, this fresh interpretation is the perfect start for a long night on the dancefloor. 
Next up we have ‘You’ by Anton Kling. The Swedish music producer delivers an atmospheric late-night tale. His sound palette of lamenting vocals, reversed synth snippets, and hypnotic lo-fi drums catapults you to a dreamy place located somewhere between Four Tet and Max Cooper. 
After releasing an astonishing EP on The Magic Movement in 2021, Mux from Naples is back to take it up a notch with ‘Call of the Clan.’ 
On this irresistible UK-bass dancefloor banger he combines a massive bass with syncopated drums and euphoric vocals. Rave On!
Last but not least, Sao Paulo duo Marcio Vermelho and Pedro Zopelar, a.k.a Sphynx, wrap things up with ‘Duna.’ We love their signature sound featuring various vintage synths, drum machines, and guitars, which make this funky proto-house jam the ideal soundtrack for a Balearic sunrise.

Hooray to the newest associates of the Riotvan family, The Chord Memory Club! And what an initiation it is. They are firing away with Planet Rock-informed Electrovibes that will make you want to get your freezes and powermoves on immediately. Needless to say, there are hi-energy chords all over the place on the A-side „Alpha Juno Love“. A similar rhythmic kink is to be observed on the flip „Accroche-Toi À Ton Amour“ as well, just backed by rather straight four to the floor patterns. On top of that they are serving some cut up synth and vocal garnish, rounding the whole thing off to a delicious little dancefloor cakelet.

PREMIERE : The Chord Memory Club - Alpha Juno Love

Hot on the heels of Guinu’s modern Brazilian jazz-funk opus ‘Palagô LP’, comes an exceptional remix 12” of four standout album tracks.  For the A1, Jose Marquez flips the title track into a percussion-heavy and hypnotic Afro-Latin house burner, a masterful future classic of a mix that feels all but destined for late night Louie Vega or Osunlade sets. Faze Action harken back to their early 2000s vibe with a loungey beat-driven reimagining of ‘Haja Fé’.
 On the flip, Razor-N-Tape stalwart Diogo Strausz takes the angular ‘Eletromandinga’ into the stratosphere with anthemic synth melodies, rousing bloco percussion and interstellar vocal treatments. Rounding out the EP, well-loved Brazilian producer Carrot Green gives ‘Porão de Ferro’ an 80s boogie makeover, complete with dubbed out vocals and funky synth bass work over bouncy analog beats

Italian native MUSTA presents an elaborate six track LP project, titled ‘Tamburi Parlanti’ which translates to ‘Talking Drums’ in English. The body of work marks a turning point in his career to make more than electronic music, and delves into a plethora of live music and field recordings recorded for the album, ranging from polyrhythmic tribal drum-patterns to Afro-funk bass chords, congas and jazz-keyboard, played by local musicians, as well as himself.

Musta’s love for music began during his 11 years spent living in the Dominican Republic. This encounter of Latin rhythms started the musical genre contamination that to this day distinguishes his productions. In this LP, like the rest of his releases, the music is diverse, tribal and hypnotic. Respectful of the past yet constantly innovative. This love of the past and future has led him to release edits and originals on staple labels such as Nervous Records, Samosa Records and Tropical Disco to name a few.

Music aside the artwork has significant meaning, the mask shown is that of the ancient Mamuthone icon of Sardinian folklore which goes back further than 2000 years, defined as a representation of the collective soul of Sardinia, the ancient ritual of the Mamuthone creatures is that of a rhythmic dance where 12 of the creatures dance together, representing the 12 months of the year. With this theme, Musta aims to connect the dots of this pastime tradition into the album, reflecting it visually as well as through the music itself.

"Tamburi Parlanti LP is a collection of songs that I’ve made myself around the world, recording and collaborating with various musicians of many different nationalities. The music reflects my musical path in recent years which draws strong inspiration from afro-funk and latin disco from the 70s and 80s. My intent is to create music that presents a journey between the hottest Latin sounds, over to more African disco rhythms.” - Says MUSTA on the EP.

Had life only just started? It seemed everything that came before now had started to fade into darkness... Problems that once felt catastrophic no longer mattered; selfish pursuits were no longer on the agenda. It wasn't just them anymore, there was another life to think about other than their own. Everything had been flipped on its head and, though scary and unknown, they were ready to dive in headfirst.

Italian DJ and producer Fango launched his E Dee series last June dedicated to a life-changing event that had taken place a few years prior: the birth of his first child Carlo. Each release explores the world his son sees but communicated through Fango's own eyes (and ears). Now on volume two, and with Peruvian imprint Degustibus on board this time, he shares three cosmic, driving grooves that take their titles from Carlo's own vocabulary, while the artwork uses Carlo's mouth as the image for the centre sticker and his own drawing for the inner sleeve. Another chapter in a very personal and beautiful ode to becoming a parent.

With an arsenal of stellar music releases already under his belt, Ponty Mython serves up the delicious “Pink Tango” EP for Futureboogie.

Having carved out a reputation for some of the finest cosmic house productions on labels like Omena, Dirt Crew and Quintessentials, the Lithuanian based producer delivers three new cuts on this release, which comes ably backed by a remix from Italian producer Fabrizio Mammarella.

On the title track, Alex Pletnev (Ponty Mython), goes for breezy synths and wandering melodies over a chugging mechanical beat and an FM style bassline, whilst Fabrizio Mammarella (Bear Funk/Les Disques De La Mort) toughens things up slightly on his remix, plunging into a darker sound aesthetic for a great reinterpretation of the original.

On “Time Spiral” an unhurried groove is laced with layer upon layer of meditative synths and percussive rolls for a fat dose of eighties soundtrack vibes, whilst EP closer, “Appreciate It While It's Not Too Late”, settles down to a head-nodding pace with funky bass and key melodies and live drum samples for a real earworm of a track.
