For the first time in our 25-year history, we are releasing a live solo recording by Craig Richards from the club. 

“This mix was recorded on the second of December at a Continuum party. I commenced just after five and finished at nine. The heady combination of nostalgia coupled with the past, the future and more importantly my daughter dancing next to me, resulted in a mix that I felt happy with. Historically, I have been very self-critical and have chosen not to release many mixes. Across nearly four hours this one seems to encapsulate the twenty five years of playing at fabric. In 1998 I was invited by Keith Reilly to play weekly at what was an imaginary nightclub. I had no idea that experience would continue for so many years. Playing vinyl on that sound system and mixer is highly exciting and a joy in itself. I am delighted that this has been my method of sonic communication and remain deeply grateful for my ongoing residency.” - Craig Richards

They also gave rare interviews, reflecting on a deep musical connection that began in 2007, the legacy of minimal and lessons from a life spent in DJ booths the world over. 

"I felt excited and lucky to be invited so early in what I now see as a much longer journey," wrote Dygas. "Music holds memories in its frequencies, and the right track can transport you instantly to a past version of yourself. That’s powerful. That’s the kind of power I respect." Amen.

Since bursting onto the scene in 2010 with huge support from the likes of Laurent Garnier, John Digweed and Dave Clarke, Ireland’s Ian O'Donovan has gone on to achieve great feats as an artist. Master of the good groove, and all thinks funky in-between, Ron Basejam crops up on Futureboogie again for a no nonsense 2 track single that hums of pure quality.

Lead track, “Time”, featuring Vern on additional vocals (who also doubles up as another Futureboogie recording artist), is one mighty Big Mac of a tune.  Basejam’s (always) on point production chops are in full effect here; bucket loads of authentic funk wrapped around a sturdy block driven beat, delectable clavinet work and a groovalicious bass riff.  Mystery guest Vern’s tongue in cheek vox twists around the other vocal elements, adding a great vibe to the already stellar production.  Simply badass!  

An infectious guitar lick dominates “The Carrington Spirituals”, whilst its’ rolling hand percussion and vocal refrains give this cut a leg up into the next disco dimension.  Dramatic horn stabs and spine tingling strings that come straight out of a 70s Blaxploitation movie, are the added ingredients to this already sumptuous slice of funk pie.

Ron Basejam never fails to disappoint; with releases lapped up on labels like Winding Road and Wolf Music, and recent remixes of Ralphi Rosario, Lovebirds & Stee Downs and My System Echo still in the box, this latest Futureboogie entry keeps the quality control as high as ever.
