Lyrical badman Stylo G is back with "Badd" the follow up single to his Top 20 hit "Soundbwoy". 

"Badd" features reggae legend Sister Nancy on vocals. Stylo tracked her down in New Jersey, and within a few brief phone calls an updated recording of the chorus of her 1982 classic "Bam Bam" was in the bag. 

With Diztortion again on production duties "Badd" is another sure-fire banger.

"Soundbwoy" was playlisted by BCC Radio 1, 1Xtra, Kiss FM, Choice FM and charted at number 18. Given its debut play by Toddla T on BBC Radio 1 and 1Xtra, "Badd" looks set to go even higher! The track was 1Xtra's "Weekend Anthem" w/c August 27th and has already been playlisted by Choice FM. Veteran dub selector David Rodigan made it a 'New Rodigan Scorcher'. "Baad" is being championed by tastemakers such as Zane Lowe, MistaJam and DJ Target.  It's also had spins from 1Xtra's Adele Roberts and Radio 1's Annie Nightingale. Over at Choice FM Daddy Ernie, Ras Kwame, Manny Norte, DJ Quincy and Firin' Squad were all early supporters. 

In between recording songs for his debut album Stylo has been busy touring extensively including performances at Glastonbury, Wireless and Reading & Leeds festivals as well as at Toddla T Sound's Notting Hill Carnival bash.

With what looks like a summer heatwave on the horizon, it seems right to call on dirtybird’s European extension to deliver a sun-drenched dance floor stormer to see in the new season. The two track ‘Love’ EP sees Catz ‘n Dogz join forces with the ever-innovative KiNK, a pairing that has proved striking in the past year after KiNK’s beautiful ‘Follow The Step’ release on the Polish duo’s label, Pets Recordings.

‘Good Love’ packs an instant punch as a hefty house bass line bangs with all the filth you’d expect from the dirtybird associates. KiNK infuses his innate sense of liveness into the production, particularly felt in the drum work which smacks, crunches and kicks with a crispness that is hard to imitate. The effect-loaded vocal loop is what gives ‘Good Love’ its hedonistic, midsummer flavor, driving the track straight to set climax selection territory for anyone with a penchant for the deep and dirty. The ‘Bad Love’ mix falls into techier territory, as the distorted beat fizzes and crackles with a masterful touch of vitality. Just as heavy and arresting as the A side, this is the sort of bad love that feels too good to decline.

Characteristically classy, with a generous helping of bass, expect this Catz 'n Dogz and KiNK collaboration to be working out dance floors for the foreseeable future.
