Theus Mago serves up a hypnotising triplet of tracks on the ‘Apache Nights’ EP for Dave Harvey’s Futureboogie, each cut brimming with psychedelic tendencies and an assured chugging pace, and British stalwarts, Chicken Lips, are on hand with a tantalising remix. 

Hailing from Mexico, Theus Mago may also be familiar to many as the man behind Bufi, and across both aliases, has released singles and albums for the likes of Electrique Music, Turbo, Roam Recordings, and his own Duro imprint.

‘Apache Nights’ is built upon an irresistible booming dudwise b-line and tight and lively rhythm section, as esoteric melodies and trippy samples & tones pan across the sound board.  British duo, Chicken Lips, have admirably served many year’s service in the alt.disco genre, and alongside their ground-breaking productions on Kingsize and Azuli, are probably more renowned for the raft of remixes turned in over the years for everyone from Newcleus to Simian Mobile Disco, Ladyhawke to Tiga, Ennio Morricone to Soul Mekanik.  For their ‘Chicken Lips Malfunction’ of ‘Apache Nights’, we’re slapped around the chops with a gargantuan nine-minute night ride!

‘Piu Mosso’ jumps on board the magic carpet for a transcendental journey, whilst ‘Sergio Ramos’ has Theus teaming up with Thomass Jackson (Gomma/Calypso Records) for a raw and minimal workout, brain scrambling sonics and a contagious groove that closes this exceptional release.

Diynamic Music’s „Picture:“ series is a document in time, showcasing an artist’s current creative output in order to allow the listener to visualise and understand the artist at a certain moment. It is not an album format, but far more than merely an EP. “Picture:” is various dancefloor-oriented facettes of one producer, shaping the imagery that ultimately results in the listeners mind.

Madorasindahouse Records comes correct once more with a two track EP from Mozaik, a French electronic duo releasing productions on the likes of Plaisirs Sonores Records, Aftertech Records and Canal Auditif. Exploring the different cultures of the world, their tracks are supported and played by Solomun, Shimza, Djeff Afrozila, Manoo, Echonomist, Sifa, Minco, Ran Salman and many more.

Tinga opens up with an intoxicating symphony of synths, frazzled pads and spritely drums. It’s a soulful track with afro vocals that will get the floor united and continues to take them higher as the vocal gets more wild and the synths cook up a real storm. Idjewena is another Afro brew with chanting vocals and loose, organic percussion. This one has a rich sound palette and really casts a spell on you as it sucks you into its worldly grooves.

LL1220 is here, an overdue first release in 2019. 2019 is also about celebrating 5 years of Lossless. For the occasion we’ve decided to return to the dancefloors with the 3rd installment of our Outbound series. Outbound.3 again is a collection of exclusives by the labels core artists, spiced up with some hot additional contributions from befriended artists. 
This 2x12“ beautifully showcases a bit of our musical universe.

Neil Flynn is kicking things off with his track „Trá“. This deep, percussive affair showing off Neil’s trademark touch once again - celtic trippiness that sucks you in immediately. Then we move „8 Floors Up“ - testament of some fruitful studio sessions held by label boss Mathias Schober and the South African duo Atelier - formed by Jaś Miszewski and Alexander Inggs - in the headhoncho’s Berlin studio. It’s a wonderful song, perfectly balanced between underground electronica and pop music only in the best sense of course.
 
Flip record one and put the needle on it’s our dear friend Ian Pooley delivering the goods with „Durmitor“ – a truly epic and future-meets-past kinda piece, sitting on a rock solid and bottom heavy groove. This track took our hearts by storm. We also felt a strong urge representing with a new SBTH track and so we have the deep and percussive „Planet Greg“ next up – one (of many) musical perspectives we have on modern, afro inspired house music with a little leftfield twist. 
 
Side C we have Frankey & Sandrino with „Kuma“ – a funky melodic lick, building and building on a warm, clean yet very effective groove. This one’s taking you away and when the synth solo hits, there’s no way back. Moving onwards Love Over Entropy serves a tasty as always „Lemon Pie Type Vibe“ – a simply beautiful and airy track build around a broken beat. We consider this as a very special birthday cake. Have a slice!
 
Side D introduces new talent Hadiid who’s representing from the island of Borneo in Malaysia. Rudi’s view on electronic music is perfectly merging his cultural roots in South East Asia with the ability to create cutting edge dancefloor weapons. „Rebelwave“ is just the perfect proof. Finishing off the release in style is our Anthony Georges Patrice. The frenchman who set things off for us with his now classic „Parallel Romance“ five years ago, is showcasing a different side with „CTAFY“. This bouncy breakbeat with airy synth textures and delayed percussion lines also highlights Anthony’s strong development as an artist. Wait for the bassline drop!
 
Looking back on five years of Lossless we feel extremely excited that nearly all of the artists who release with us to date are part of this new Outbound.3 compilation. Thanks to all artists and everyone who supported our Lossless journey so far. It feels as if we’ve only started yesterday so there’s more to come.

The soaring synth lines and vocal of title track ‘Resolve’ are a bold statement, worthy of the most epic moments in a DJ set. ‘Eriador’ is comparatively restrained, with gently rolling drums and unusual flourishes. ‘Exchange’ and ‘Gravity’ distil euphoric elements into deeply moving techno cuts to fit the Afterlife mould.

'Qilla Records strike out with a superb new EP from Vridian which finds the Delhi based producer exploring the sounds of darker disco and indie dance.

Vridian has been crafting melancholic melodies and driving grooves both as a DJ and producer for some time. He spent a brief stint as resident at Vancouver’s acclaimed after-hours nightclub Gorg-O-Mish, and with releases on international imprints such as Manjumasi, Traum Schallplatten and Nie Wieder Schlafen he is picking up a deserved international profile.

Fantastic opener ‘Knowbot’ is a kicking, club-ready cut with crisp claps and twinkling keys raining down the face of the drums. It feels adventurous and full of hope as it casts a real spell over all who hear it.
The second superbly crafted offering here is ‘Night Creature’ with its surging drums and beautiful ambient pads swirling round the groove. It’s another expansive track that takes you into a wide open cosmos and leaves you in awe.

These sounds show another new side to this artist while also slotting in next to the sort of house and techno he is well known for.'

Launched in 2019, Revolver Upstairs Records is the label of the famed Melbourne nightclub housing releases from various internal brands, resident artists and extended family.

STAY IN TOUCH is the second offering on the label, a collaboration (from a safe distance) between Revolver Upstair's Late Show resident STATUE (Futureboogie, Cin Cin, Les Temps Perdu) and Sydney producer and DJ, Tunnel Signs (I OH YOU, Cutters, Clouded Vision). STAY IN TOUCH combines the industrial strength of Tunnel Signs with the percussive chug of STATUE in an EP that anticipates the late nights we will have together again when distancing measures subside. The music of Angelo Repetto’s music overflows with a distinct kind of optimistic melancholy. There is always this touch of euphoric sadness in his melodies, underscored by his distinctive deep and heavy baselines.
Kamiokande is the first release Angelo Repetto will present through his new musical home at Subject To Restrictions. The Zurich producer is best-known for his live-sets, a favourite amongst dancers on Zurich's alternative scene. For this EP Berlin-based Neu Verboten gave ‘Time Split’ a club-friendly retouch, delivering a strong remix that reinvents the dimensions of Repetto's original vision.
