Actually, we think it’d be pretty chill if he took the reigns on the “the world’s unique soundtrack” and made it sound a little more like this velvety, floor-shaking, party-starting, spooky, hypnotic house track GHOST he delivered us on the back of a singing Alec Ounsworth from Indie Rock Band CLAP YOUR HANDS SAY YEAH.

His magnificent ability to infuse eclectic sounds into his music that has been influenced by his long experience in the Berlin rave culture (Bar 25, Katerholzig, etc)is totally unique.

From the slow after-party vibes of 'Wonder Bitch' to the inner grooves of 'Mountain Top', our friend offers us two big tracks, shaped for the long Berlin parties.

Madmotormiquel teamed up with N.Y.N to deliver us 'My Ambition', an eight minutes gem. Pazul jumped into the boat for this release with a remix that intertwine 4/4 kicks with great percussions and guitar sounds.

The Do Lab Presents Sabo at LIB 2014

Flosstradamus feat. Waka Flocka - TTU (TroyBoi Remix)

Dusky has been met with nothing but high hopes since they first kicked off their 17 Steps imprint back in July. Launching the label with their own Love Taking Over record, the UK musicpreneurs are on the way to hitting their stride through their first external signing with the help of Christian Piers—of A1 Bassline fame—and his three-track Beat Wiser EP.

Rounding out the release, the closing cut “Onn” sees Piers go to town on the drums, as he thrashes out a painstakingly calibrated club-ripper. Adorned with a tribal aesthetic, Piers pulls off a precise sequence of shuffling percussion and intricately netted textures that will throw you for a loop. Woozy and bewildering, the six-minute run will leave you lightheaded and jacked with dancefloor-induced endorphins.

This is about the letting go of the person you love because you know it's the right thing to do.
This song is really special to me. Once again Caitlin sang the lyrics to a different backing track and I changed the music completely afterwards. It was originally a 4/4 track, but I felt the music needed to be more emotional and slower to better suit the fragile vocals. This was one of those ping-pong songs, with us sending it back and forth between Aalborg and Berlin to get it completely right. 
I asked Caitlin to change the rhythm of her singing on the new version and she totally understood my ideas: I couldn’t have asked for a better vocal. This song made me realize that Caitlin and I have a rare chemistry. We inspire each other to go that extra mile to make it perfect. I guess that’s why I ended up changing the music completely on both the songs we created together.

The second instalment of remixes of Jamie Lloyd’s debut album Trouble Within come courtesy of the excellent Drumpoet Community collective from Switzerland. The Drumpoet releases have been getting high rotation in the Future Classic offices since the beginning and its a pleasure to again make a new connection between our base in Sydney and another part of the world.

The Soultourist boat is crewed by Philippe Wüger (Thabo), Tobi (Foster), Ron Shiller, and Pascal Dubach (Big Clap), with the rowing done in shifts. The four met while DJing and hanging out at parties realizing that their cases were packed with nearly the same records and that they shared a common musical vision. Soultourist's first 12" was released on the Sonar Kollektiv after which they have contributed releases to Swiss label Bit Boutique and now of course the newly founded Zürich based Drumpoet Community label with their excellent Yeah! and Turn Loose EP’s.

The Soultourist remix of Jamie Lloyd’s You Out or In? is all class, with the sort of immaculate production and clarity we’d expect from spending all that time at high altitude, or perhaps an Autumnal dip in Lake Zürich? The bass is tight, the drums crisp and there’s musicality throughout (including some awesome keys) which we applaud!

Quarion was moving from Zürich to Berlin while doing this remix, and he thinks the results are revealing of this move, with a deephouse take on the nu-wave-of-rave he was enjoying during his first weeks in Berlin. A rewarding addition to the box or laptop of any DJ who enjoyed his excellent Karusu EP on Drumpoet.. or perhaps an introduction to someone new to keep an eye on!
