One half their new 2 cut remix package - the other being a rework from Purple Disco Machine – Manchester producer Ganzfeld Effect’s reimagining sees the classic M1 organ be placed centre stagew for a remix as happy moving a dancefloor as destroying the airwaves. As I'm finishing up an incredible last year of college, and getting to do all of these amazing things in music, it's felt natural making happy, lighthearted songs that really capture my mood these days. I've spent a large part of the last year exploring darker sounds and textures. I definitely want to continue experimenting in that direction, but I wouldn't want to neglect my goofy, cheerful side either. What’s not to love about Monkey Safari? The duo from Halle, Germany have been favorites of ours for as long as we can remember. In terms of Desert Hearts lore, their song Hi Life was the song that played when we celebrated our first Sunday Sunrise 2.5 years ago. It’s been an anthem at our parties ever since and every time it’s played we’re transported back to that glorious morning in the Mojave. To have Monkey Safari finally play our party was like a dream come true for us and they delivered on a monumental scale. The Sunday love vibes at our Spring Festival ‘15 couldn’t have been better as they crushed their 4pm time slot between Justin Jay and Rodriguez Jr. The party and vibe couldn’t have been better as the Desert Hearts Community surprised Sven and Lars with 100+ monkey and banana suits for the occasion.
