Continuing to pioneer the rocktronic genre, SadBois showcase their immense potential in their highly anticipated EP ‘In Bloom’. Featuring a sleight of talented collaborators such as Olivver the Kid, UNDY, Sam Varga and Natalia Taylar, the project is a statement both in terms of music and a deeper meaning behind it.

Set to be released on June 28th, the EP comes out alongside the lead single ‘Love Song Underwater’, a fantastic crossover pop rock x dance music record, featuring Olivver the Kid on the vocals, who’s most popular for his collaborations with G-Eazy, Said The Sky, Dabin and more.

Sadbois share their thought process behind the songs: “Love Song Underwater is a song of viscous, blinding neon nostalgia. It’s a song about heartbreak, love, and distance. It’s a song about putting your bleeding heart on the table and hoping that it’s enough for someone else.”

“Bloom is a testament to overcoming the most difficult moments in life by living through them and understanding the role they play in shaping even the best moments of life. More than just simply striving to get to the end, Bloom challenges to appreciate that living and being present through the hard times helps us find our true self.
“In ‘Next Life’, we wanted to represent both two sides of a break up and have the two of them go at it from their own sides, eventually arriving at the same place. It’s about the bitterness and anger stage of a breakup, after you’ve tried everything.”

After a string of quality single releases in 2022, and crossing all-time 300 Million plays collectively, the UK producer duo Culture Code is back for another stellar collaboration. Teaming up with the rapidly rising North American duo Caslow, best known for their releases on Monstercat, Dim Mak & Proximity, and the fabulous vocalist Nina Sung, famous for her collab ‘Only One’ with ILLENIUM on the iconic Ashes-album, the single is set to be a highly intriguing addition to August’s release calendar among all fans of melodic pop EDM. Titled as ’Wish You The Best’, the record is a profoundly emotional future bass single, with its heartfelt lyrics touching a painful, yet so common topic: “having troubles moving on from a romantic relationship”.

Garrett Raff, one of the three songwriters of the song, describes the theme as following: “The song is about having trouble moving on from a relationship and not wanting to see the other person doing better outside of it. You know it’s an inevitability that they’ll be happy with someone else, but you don’t want to accept that reality. It’s about wanting to be a big person and wish the other person well, but you’re just not there yet.”

To the fans of the indie rock duo Seafret and the active users of TikTok, the British duo’s breathtaking single ‘Atlantis’ is no stranger to. The Canadian/American duo Caslow will be introducing a new sound in their upcoming EP “Not A Phase”, set to be released on April 14th, 2023 on Future Generation. The EP is an electric blend of the nostalgic 2000s pop punk sound and more modern melodic bass, showcasing their musical talent to adapt and merge flawlessly punk rock and electronic music. ‘Not A Phase’ features a handful renowned vocalists such as SayWeCanFly, Micah Martin and Manno, and is expected to catch the attention of those who are diving into the new era of EDM that many refer to as “rocktronic”. Coming off hot from his official remix for R3HAB’s and Now United’s single ‘Run Till Dark’, the highly trending dj/producer Arcando is gearing up to disclose the follow-up single to his house music tenure. Being widely respected as the “artist who can produce any dance music genre on a high level”, ‘Change Your Mind’ isn’t the same old Arcando you’re so used to hear. The song introdudes a heavier side to the young dutchman’s music, while still maintaining his signature melodic and dynamic touch in the production. Set to be released on the 9th of June, ‘Change Your Mind’ is going to be another stellar illustration about his impressive musical depth on his rise to stardom.

Arcando shares his thoughts behind the process: “The project got started last year when I went to see Julian Jordan’s gig at Bootshaus. Even though the heavier bass house isn’t really the sound which is most often associated with my brand, I got instantly inspired from the energy during the set and wanted to make a clubbier house song like that myself as well.”

He continues: “So to test out the idea, I went ahead and started uploading some snippets of the song to TikTok, and as the videos began picking up some traction along with a ton of positive comments, I knew I had to finish the project. At the time, we were working with a good of mine Justin J. Moore on our cover release ‘Atlantis’, and as I’m really a big fan of his voice and was really enjoying our connection and vibe in the studio, we decided to make this our second collaboration together. All in all, I’m just genuinely thrilled to introduce a heavier aspect to my music and brand, and curious to hear what the fans are going to have to say about ‘Change Your Mind”.

To everyone who’s been having a romantic relationship and a breakup at an early age, this line hits deep in the hearts and potentially unhealed wounds of theirs. Melodic bass music tends to come across as thoroughly emotional, yet in its own way energizing at the same time, and this is spot on what the extremely talented American artists Nikademis and Dani King are showcasing with their new single ‘Perfect For A Moment’.

Being their first collaboration together up to date, both artists are no strangers among the bass music community. The NYC-based dj/producer Nikademis is best known for his remix for Illenium’s & Sasha Sloan’s hit single ‘U & Me’ besides releases on Ophelia and Dim Mak, while the singer/songwriter Dani King is a highly acclaimed performer with releases on Monstercat, Insomniac, Lowly and NCS together with artists such as Riot Ten, Bear Grillz, Ace Aura and more.

Dani walks us through the thought process behind the theme: “I actually wrote the lyrics for this song about a boyfriend from a long time ago that meant a lot to me. We were 16 and both our friendship and relationship fell apart very quickly due to...we’ll just call it poor decisions.”

She continues: “But A year later he wrote me the kindest apology note, and since then we have cheered each other on from a distance while growing into strong, successful people. We both learned lessons from each other that carried us into adulthood, and this song is a tribute to him and those lessons learned. Not every relationship has to end on bad terms, and I wanted to take a second to look back and be grateful for this one. Sometimes people come into our lives to help us grow into the person we are supposed to be, and I believe that’s what this person was to me.”

Continuing to pioneer the rocktronic genre, the New York based trio Sadbois are bringing their unique pop punk influences to EDM on their new single ‘Next Life’. Featuring passionate duet vocals by Sam Varga & Natalia Taylar, the song flawlessly fuses the different genres and emotions together, transforming the angsty theme into something uplifting by the upbeat instrumental. Set to be released on April 5th on Future Generation, the single continues to cement Sadbois as one of the most exciting upcoming acts on the melodic bass music scene in the US.

Sadbois share their thoughts on the process: “Next Life started with us shooting our shot for a remix for a big pop rock name. While unfortunately the opportunity didn’t land, in a twist of fate, the song truly came to life and embraced its true potential, no longer shackled, the song blossomed into something beautiful through the perspective and story from Sam and Natalia.”

Sam continues: “I received the track from SadBois that I let sit in my DM’s for about two weeks over Christmas. When I finally listened to it in the car I think I wrote 50% of the lyrics in 10 minutes before I got home. I had a feeling about it and made Spencer Jordan come over that week and we constructed the rest of the song. I knew pretty early on we were writing a duet, but figured I’d shoot that shot to the band once we had the vocal on it, and from the get-go Natalia Taylar was the obvious choice for me.

I wanted to represent both sides of a break up in one track and have the two of them go at it from their own sides, eventually arriving at the same place. It’s about the bitterness and anger stage of a breakup, after you’ve tried everything. What SadBois did was so explosive and emotional the song just fell out. They’ve been some of the best collaborators I’ve ever gotten to work with and I love the story and community of this song.”

The Denver-based dj/producer Nikademis has been steadily making a statement as one of the most promising melodic bass music artists in the States, with his official remixes for Illenium’s singles ‘U & Me’ and ‘Worst Day’ besides releases on Ophelia and Insomniac. Nikademis also has a collaboration with the A-listers Slander and Poo Bear, which has already been teased across festivals in the States. The collaborators Leuthero and Skye Silansky represent the next wave of North American melodic bass music artists, with Leuthero being best known for his releases on Circus and Proximity, and Skye having a single together with Nurko among others.

Skye Silansky shares her thoughts on the song’s meaning: “‘Numb’ is about the toxic things we always go back to. Whether it’s tangible, emotional, physical, we get caught up in things and people that aren’t good for us, but it can be addicting. Numb is about that thing or person that did it for you. No matter how crazy it made you, or how sad, or messed up, we always say we’re done and go back to do it again, missing the way it made us feel, promising we won’t go back but inevitably going back to it.”

Continuing to pioneer the rocktronic genre, SadBois showcase their immense potential in their highly anticipated EP ‘In Bloom’. Featuring a sleight of talented collaborators such as Olivver the Kid, UNDY, Sam Varga and Natalia Taylar, the project is a statement both in terms of music and a deeper meaning behind it.

After our highly successful first release of 2019, we couldn't be more excited to reveal the second one of the year by welcoming the highly talented American producer Barren Gates and RMND to make their debuts on Future Generation.

Right from the very first second, Barren Gates & RMND paint a scene of a dark, contemplative night with the atmospheric pads and lonely, muted synths. The gorgeous but ominous vocals whisper to you through the fog, reminding you that your shadows, your past, will always be following you.

In The Darkness is a wonderful texture of the complex mood and top class sound design. Whereas the first drop was more of an even fight between light and dark, influenced by RMND, the second drop elevates the track into a whole new level with the aggressive, distorted electric guitar leads and a heavier bassline, where you’re able to clearly hear Barren Gates’ past rock influences. We couldn’t be more excited to welcome the Asian-American dj/producer duo BEAUZ to Future Generation with their fantastic single release ‘Bipolar’ in collaboration with ThatBehavior and Luna. The single marks also the 10th release of Future Generation and is most definitely one of our best ones up to date.

Summer is just around the corner which usually means a myriad of bright, upbeat tracks flooding the airwaves. At first listen, you might think that “Bipolar” is another one of those songs with its bubbly instrumentals and airy vocals from the amazingly talented Luna, but it’s much more than just a summer hit - produced by BEAUZ and ThatBehavior, the single comes also with a more deeper message.

Like BEAUZ themselves describe: “Love isn’t perfect. When countless episodes of distrust and mutually inflicted heartbreaks loom over a relationship, people tend to be confused whether they stayed with one another out of genuine affection or mere convenience. “Bipolar” is a healing love song for people who are suffering in their relationship yet don’t know when to, or if they should ever, walk away from the love that once was the source to unforgettable happiness. Using Bipolarism disorder as the theme to personify the contradicting nature between loving memories and unhappy relationship, this song aims to remind all the victims that only by truly knowing the value of oneself could one realize that the toxicity isn’t worth staying for.”

For our 12th release, we’re ecstatic to finally get to welcome the highly popular duo Unknown Brain to the label with their incredible collaboration with the Italian dj/producer Hoober. Held together by the multi-talent Riell’s vocals, ‘Begin Again’ is a refreshing ‘melodic trap meets pop kind of single’, which tells a story about a couple's complex relationship.

Like the vocalist RIELL describes the theme of the track: “Begin Again is about the type of relationship where from the outside, everyone thinks it’s messed up and are confused and occasionally judgemental when two people who seem clearly better apart keep coming back together. The song is from the perspective of being in this relationship and despite noticing the unhealthy things you do to each other, you’re still sticking through it anyway because bad with them is still better than good with anyone else.”

In ‘Begin Again’, the instrumental and vocals are processed in a way to exemplify the conflict present throughout the song - something lovely paired with a darker element. This duality is most apparent in the lyrics which describe a couple’s difficult dynamics. Their struggle is played out over brighter instrumentals which expertly combine Unknown Brain’s and Hoober’s styles. By the end of the track, the song turns out to be positively euphoric, giving you hope that the story told through the lyrics ends in a happier place than it began.

For our 13th release, we decided to prepare something a bit different for you this time. We’re happy to have the American dj/producer Barren Gates back on Future Generation with his heavy trap single ‘Area 51’, which stands true to his futuristic signature style, being at the same time a fresh addition to our catalogue. Due to its well-fitting style, we take the right to name it unofficially the anthem of the forthcoming viral event, which is set for mid-September.

Like Barren describes the process and theme of the release: “Area 51 started off as a WIP with only the drops fully written, the breakdowns felt fairly bare and I couldn't find any inspiration for them for a while. After hearing about the raid of Area 51 meme starting to go viral on social media, I decided to try to shift the direction of the track towards that theme as the drops already had somewhat of a futuristic sound to them. I then proceeded to design several glitch-like articulations for the intro and worked in some sample vocals to better define the theme of escaping from Area 51."

After their successful debut on Future Generation in early August, we’re stoked to have Unknown Brain already back for their sophomore single on the label. ‘Take It’ is an unique, dark ‘pop meets bass kind of release’ with some R&B influences and is in collaboration with the German talents ThatBehavior, who are already making their fourth appearance on Future Generation. Just like in Unknown Brain’s single ‘Begin Again’ in August, the track features once again stellar vocal work by the Canadian singer/songwriter RIELL, in addition of a refreshing male feature in the second break by the Turkish pop singer J.O.Y.

RIELL describes the track followingly: “Take It” is about the appeal of dark vices and giving into desires that you have tried to repress for a long time, that when you do eventually give in, it almost becomes aggressive and something you get completely lost in. In ‘Take It’, the vice is someone who is forbidden; you could both suffer consequences from being together, but at the end of the day, you both just can’t help yourselves.”
