We’ve had such a good time working on this song for the past few months and can’t be happier about how it’s come together. It's about acceptance - of ourselves and our circumstances... An understanding that we won't always have it figured out. A reminder that no matter how bad things get, life tends to even out in the end. 🌊

The title "A Liar" truly hammers home the central conflict and the profound betrayal at the heart of the lyrics. It's not just a lie, but the very essence of the person being a liar – a fundamental characteristic that permeates their actions and destroys the life around them.

When I wrote this song, I poured out the raw emotion of discovering that the person I loved, the person I built a life with, was fundamentally dishonest. The title "A Liar" captures that gut-wrenching realization. It's not about a single untruth, but the consistent, destructive pattern of deceit that became the foundation of our shared existence.

The question "How can you be okay, knowing you've lived your whole life as a liar..." now resonates even more strongly with the title. It's a direct accusation, a desperate plea for understanding directed at someone who lived a double life. The "mask" being removed and the "demons set free" are all manifestations of this core characteristic.

So, yes, "A Liar" perfectly encapsulates the feeling of profound betrayal, the destruction of trust, and the painful journey of recognizing that the person you thought you knew was, in their very being, a lie. It's the ultimate summation of why the house became a "house of pain" instead of a home of love.
