South London’s Rubi Dan is one of the UK’s most versatile MCs and a bonafide emperor supreme of the Alternative Dancehall. Highly in-demand for Dance Music, Drum ‘n’ Bass, Garage and jungle Raves he was also resident with the UK’s Heatwave Sound between 2005 and 2014.

His list of collaborations is impressive as it includes the likes of Roots Manuva, Deekline, Ed Solo, Liondub, Sticky, Sticky Budz and K Warren to name but a few.

As a member of sound collective I & I – Rubi Dan was signed to Sony Records for their hit “Don’t Get Me Wrong” which was remixed by Jungle music legend, Ray Keith. He recorded four songs for the Side Steppers album “In The Beats We Trust“ of which 2 songs – “In the Beats We Trust” and ” Mas Papaya” were major hits in Latin America engendering synchs and much airplay.

Rubi Dan’s was also the voice featured on Andy Jay & S-Tee’s “Funky Dip” hit utilised by drinks company, Malibu, for a Television campaign.

Rubi Dan is an expert at hyping up any crowd and has performed at festivals, carnivals and clubs all over the world in places as far afield as Jamaica, Germany, California, India, Canada, Portugal, USA, Spain, Poland, Thailand and of course all over the UK.

Rubi Dan’s performance style is described as “high energy, good vibes” as he  commands crowds with his very strong original vocal style.

Around 2016 Rubi Dan lent his stage presence to being the front man of Captain Ska – a collective highlighting social injustice. The success of the single ‘Liar Liar’ aimed at the then Prime Minister – Boris Johnson led to appearances at various clubs, festivals and political rallies.

At the tail end of 2023 Rubi Dan completed his debut solo album ‘Raggipahop: The Untold Story”..

Raggo Zulu Rebel is a creative vessel for a conscious message, with 20 years of songwriting and performing experience at hand. 
Recording artist with extraordinary story telling abilities, he adopted the moniker "Jah Messenger”, which is also the title of his debut album, released in 2007. 
The title of "Jah Messenger” comes from the acceptance of the responsibility - inherited from the musical messengers like Luciano, Capelton, Anthony B, Sizzla - to spread messages of cultural value and worth, self awareness, empowerment, upliftment, sufferation & social injustice amongst people of all generations who didn’t seem to have much direction or guidance at the time.
Performing from as early as 9 years old as part of the "Stratford Theatre Royal weekly youth group" among other performing young talents, gave him the chance to develop a strong stage presence which to this day, is one oh his major strengths together with the powerful messages in his lyrics.
He recorded his first track, aged 13,  "UK rap" a collaboration with childhood friend Stallion Solo of The Remand Crew  (deja vu fm). The song theme was directed at Uk rappers perpetrating american accents establishing a strong sense of identity and a firm sense of self from start. The song was produced by uk hiphop pioneers London Posse producer Sparky.  
During his mid teens, Raggo embarked on a spiritual journey into Rastafari after a trip to the Caribbean. This newly awaken spirituality is clearly reflected in his music in which the presence of philosophy & ideologies of Rastafari, Ethiopia, the old testament, Marcus Garvey, ital livity and an uncompromised anti establishment is unashamedly expressed.
in 2004, teamed up with life time friend Clued UP, Raggo independently released  the mixtape "Born In Babylon” and his first solo EP, "The Struggle". This opened the possibilities of then collaborating with well established London Producer, Morfius ( More for Us Media) with whom he wrote and produced numerous Mixtapes and 4 Albums including, Jah Messenger, The Return of Jah Messenger, Holy War, The Bible and The Gun.
Also around this time he goes on to form a musical collective/ sound system  "Exodus 1st Movement" and begins promoting under 18's raves with Urban Development at newly built Stratford circus, Princess Alice, Players Club, One Love Community Centre, and various other venues throughout London.    
20 years of recording and performing, enable Raggo to showcase his talent, spread his message and gain the respect of many fellow musicians, artists, poet and entertainers in and around the Uk, and now, in 2016, Internationally. 
He has  collaborated, taught and recorded all around the world, firstly  headlining Sicily's Annual Sol Music festival in 2005, headlining Act Mic- A- Blaze Records concert in Galway Ireland, supporting Big Cakes "its All Love Tour" , and more recently Rome where he performed on National Tv alongside Marianna Zappi X Factor UK contestant.
He also has recorded and performed with Lil Hero & PZED at Triangle Records studios Dunns River Jamaica, took part in an international community led project called "I Remember Srebrenica" in Bosnia, and he recently has been able to perform at Winsome Castle in Amsterdam's red light district.
