Actazif (Act as if) is a Brooklyn based dj of West Indian decent with over 15yrs of experience. My DJ set is best recognized for my smooth and seem-less transitions. Although I can play an eclectic range of genres, my Sound can best be described as a blend of African drum & bass blends. I fuse House, Afro-beats, Amapiano, electric and soul music. I also incorporate R&B, Jazz, funk and Hip Hop with Edits, mostly mixed and produced by me. I currently Have multiple Residencies in Brooklyn; (Dick & Janes, Cafe Rue Dix, Sweet Science and 2 weekly slots at Sally’s Bar and Restaurant in Bed-stuy. I’ve been featured at the New York Music festival, Cafe Erzulie, Pianos, Bogart House, The Penny Hotel and numerous other venues.
