That New Feeling is the first release from one of our new artists Kormakur Jarl also known as Brilliantinus. We found out about Brilliantinus about a year ago and have since then embraced his presence in the local Reykjavik scene. We finally got two tracks to release that represent the style Brilliantinus is all about; That laidback and warm sound that we instantly connect to certain memories in life. Both tracks are full of atmosphere and simple grooves that just encourages dancing right off the bat. In the title track of the EP, „That New Feeling“, Brilliantinus presents great sample pad work and a groovy bassline with vocal chops that should get the floor going whilst the B-track, „With Deepman“ is the more laidback track that just floats around you and lights up beautiful memories. We hope that this release pushes the same buttons it did with us, a warm embracing EP with the young and upcoming talent, Brilliantinus.

Aquatic , the 10th album release from Belgian producer & Dj Sven Van Hees, is the soundtrack to Summer of 2017, hands down! 
After spending 3 months as resident DJ at SixSenses- Laamu (Maldives), further travels throughout the Caribbean which include the Bahamas (Exuma) & the island of St Martin (Cul De Sac) Sven delivers an album that has  "classic" written all over it. 

Opener 'Sunsation', featuring vocalist Andy Anderson , sets the tone for this release :  "Just close your eyes & let the water take you away.." his deep Barry White-like vocal whispers to our inner Siren. The tune "Preach on the Beach" sounds like the  missing track from his critically acclaimed  'Gemini' album and if you can stay seated while listening to  'Bahamian Rhapsody"', you're 
probably dead.  Almost an hour later we put the CD on repeat as we'd love to be submerged in Sven's soundscapes again. 
Thanks to some very clever editing and a flawless production Aquatic serves up an exotic dish of Cosmic Jazz, Chill Out, Reggae/Dub, Nu Disco, smooth Lounge & sweet Soulful House.

Swedisch born Sanna Hartfield signs for the vocals on "Summer Night" (most original reggae tune of the year!) and "Expectations",  a 120 BPM soulful House gem that has an addictive tension throughout the song. Their collaboration sounds like a match made in heaven. Sanna's seductive vocals blend in perfectly with the artists' grooves.  Also,the original song titles (a returning feature) and  breathtaking artwork by MatAtWork prove that this artist takes great care of almost every aspect of his career. 
Best thing about Aquatic is that it's not just another 'Chilled Out' release, on the contrary :  The vocals, original approach & Sven's creative editing turn this album into an instant classic and a must have for 2017!

As with other talented but troubled artists such as Syd Barrett, Brian Wilson, and Roky Erickson, Daniel Johnston fights a daily battle with the chronic mental illness that has plagued him nearly his entire life. However, despite recurrent bouts of delusional behavior wherein he has physically endangered himself and others, Johnston has carved out a respectable, influential career as a singer/songwriter of extraordinary talent who has grown since his first crudely recorded cassette was released in 1980. He became the singer/songwriter of choice of the alternative/underground rock scene, and at various times has had his work championed by members of Sonic Youth, Yo La Tengo, Butthole Surfers, Half Japanese, Nirvana (Kurt Cobain was often photographed wearing a Daniel Johnston T-shirt), and numerous others.
