Alright my Chicago familia... I'm going 2 need you to help me on this mixtape. The friend that gave me this mixtape was also a big listener of my then radio show on 91.5 FM WPRK. He was also resposible for hooking me up with most of my Ron Hardy & Frankie Knuckles tapes from the Muzik Box & The Warehouse.
With all those tapes he gave me this one of a very underground Chicago DJ that went by the name The Fabulous Floyd Banks. This is thee only mix I ever got of Floyd & it was only 1 side of a tape... but I can't tell you how much this tape has influenced & inspired my walk with Chicago House.
Has anybody ever heard of Floyd & if so, I would like more info on him... Yes He's that good. On this live mixtape, I believe he uses a Roland TR-909 Drum Machine & overlays the Kicks in various parts. An absolute genius on his selections & vibe!!!
This mixtape gets a 10-10-10 & a bag of Chips!!!
