In Japan, it is thought that the soul of the deceased ancestor comes back to his hometown once a year. The time is around July or August. People in Japan will spend their time with the soul of their ancestors. The light will be lit so that the ancestor's soul will come back to home without hesitation. And the soul of the ancestor who spent a while will also return to the original world. The light will light the way home.
