out of boredom
You don't have to be ashamed
The crowd might be promiscuous

The girl over there
lost her true love
because she was playing a game
I don't think he ever forgave her
and now it's all the same

Don't be afraid 
of the children
Enjoy their beauty instead
as they dance their way in the spotlight
They arrived here when they were dead

If you look through the roof
for a moment
You will see a fading rose
It carries the song of forbidden love
that in heaven will be disclosed

There are more rooms inside
to discover
If you are the curious sort
Truths of the world you will witness
and your senses it will distort

I can feel
that your heart was broken
by a love much too pure and true
In the chamber of ancient music
there are many clowns like you

Well your story
has its merits
but it resembles a dream to me
Let me guess: You never had her?
Or let's say just to a degree

You know, this cabaret
is peculiar
You can never return outside
With the tears of hearts disconnected
Its gates were fortified

Over it all 
floats a rainbow
No one knows what it signifies
It emerged from a dark lake in winter
Like the Devil in disguise

Our waiting room
is crowded
by men with a longing like yours
And she is always across the ocean
and her beauty made of metaphors

From here

Memento Mori

A Life Well Lived

There's something very lonely about the vastness of empty space in the universe, and the eons of time between unimaginally violent events. And on one lonely, blue, oasis of a planet there is a species that persists in tearing itself apart. SAD.
I found the image on Pinterest but couldn't find a credit.
The guitar is a Fender Telecaster with Texas pickups - my "go-to" guitar these days. I used two amps with crunch settings in series to get the slightly electric crackle.
