We all know too many stories of women having to leave abusive relationships, especially during the pandemic, and the shame and blame they are made to feel, the loss of hope, and loss of self. The damage in the moment seems unbearable and unconquerable as the emotions are so “raw” and painful… but it is possible to come out the other side stronger than before and feeling whole and hopeful.

This is my first collaboration with GMO! @gmo2020

He sent me all of the percussive and drum elements, a very cool concoction of rhythms that was a lot of fun to work with. I added some analogue synth melodies and chords -- we were stoked with the results!

I had to have an operation on my left hand, which has meant I haven't been able to play guitar for a couple of months now. 

Anyway, it's on the mend although I still don't have much feeling in my little finger and the side of my hand, but it's getting better, so my guitar is coming home, not fast enough, but my baby's coming home.
