Walrus Ghost's (@walrus-ghost) 'Uplifting Themes For The Naysayer' is essentially a conversation between organic sound and artificial design. Immersed in rich textures and the meticulous processing of analog instrumentation, the songs facilitate moments of exchange between tranquil subtleties and abrasive tensions. These intertwining moments come and go as the record plays out, but they follow us throughout, leaving us with a soundscape that exists in both beautiful harmony and eerie decay.

Slow Waves is a collection of multi-layered memories, stacked like grainy polaroids in an old box in the closet or under the bed while the colours fade. A young Rob at the beach or on his first day of grammar school. Images of travels across Europe and Japan, moments slipping in trains or planes while landscapes pass by. Memories so unique to his life, yet so similar to the fading memories of youth and adolescence we all have...

After a series of well acclaimed EP’s, each of them created at very specific moments in the artists life, @submerse took the time and sat down to reflect and convert all these memories into his first full length album on Project: Mooncircle.

'Slow Waves' comes out worldwide on limited double vinyl, limited handmade and handpainted cassette edition (both including download code) as well as a limited edition CD including a bonus track via @flaurecords in Japan.

The Love

'Sadovaya” was entirely written in St. Petersburg, it takes its name from the street where Craig Dyer was living with Olya Dyer at that time. Most tracks are love songs inspired by Russian novelists and poets Craig was being introduced to, such as Lermontov, Dostoyevsky and Pushkin.

The music was highly influenced by Soviet era Post-Punk bands like Kino and by Russian cinema. Craig said: “the sound of the album has a raw quality that I was never able to recreate. There’s a genuine naivety to the recordings that makes it my most visceral, personal record”.

Everybody’s Coming Down marks a vibrant sonic evolution for The Good Life. The album fully expresses the band perhaps more so than any previous release, combining and reflecting each member’s nature and strengths: drummer Roger L. Lewis’s love of classic rock, multi-instrumentalist Ryan Fox’s chaotic approach to melody, Stefanie Drootin-Senseney’s propulsive yet tuneful bass parts, and Tim Kasher’s deft, complementary song writing. Viscerally hitting songs like rollercoasting anthem “Everybody” and the boisterous “Holy Shit” sit alongside psychedelic-tinged rock like “Flotsam Locked Into A Groove” and the ambient, atmospheric “Diving Bell,” as well as The Good Life’s now-known lyrical, folk-indebted pop (“The Troubadour’s Green Room,” “Midnight Is Upon Us”).
