British singer & guitarist playing mainly covers in French and Swiss ski resorts of the Portes du Soleil network with the odd private function. Played for many years in UK cover bands and very occasionally feel creative enough to put my own compositions together.

A six-piece Scottish funk band, Alan Gorrie of the Average White Band calls them 'The Tartan Special of Funk'.

The band writes and performs original material influenced by the likes of Steely Dan, Little Feat and Average White Band.

Formed in 2010 by Edinburgh-based journalist, Barry Gordon, the band’s name comes from an Eddie Murphy sketch on Saturday Night Live.

Rehearsals used to take place next to a sex shop, but they now practice in a former timber-mill that once stored government files.

In 2014, JBiA were awarded funding by Creative Scotland to record its debut album with living funk legend, Average White Band's Molly Duncan, who both produced and played on the album. Average White Band's Alan Gorrie also wrote a song, exclusively for the band, to go on the album too.

Regulars on BBC Radio Scotland, the sextet made their live television debut on STV's Riverside Show in May 2015. 

In June, 2015, the band sold out the Pizza Express Jazz Club in Soho, London - a feat not even Amy Winehouse, Norah Jones or Jamie Cullum achieved on their first outing at the venue.

JBiA also brought the month of June to a close with an epic concert at the ABC in Glasgow with pioneering soul-funk band, The Family Stone. 

Later this year, JBiA will be performing on the Main Stage at the Belladrum Festival, the Edinburgh Jazz & Blues Festival, and supporting both Average White Band (Queen's Hall) and The Blockheads (Voodoo Rooms) in Edinburgh.

Performing in front of 80,000 revellers at the 2011/12 Edinburgh Hogmanay Street Party on the Waverley Stage alongside The Vaccines and Kassidy.

The Tempus Collective are a duo hailing from Glasgow/Scotland, consisting of Kevin Fleming (vocals and keys) and Stewart Grieve (Keys, programming and production). The boys first met at school and have been playing together since 1983. They got their first 4-track a few years later and have continued to be bedroom music makers ever since, except for a 10 year recess to attend to family life.

Over the years there have been various musicians who have joined the ranks but it remains a two piece outfit for the moment with guest  musicians joining the band for selected projects as they are required.

Influenced by the likes of The Blue Nile, David Sylvian,Thomas Feiner and similar melancholic artists, the Tempus sound is usually a subdued affair that could never be considered mainstream.

"We spend a lot of time on production, we always have, it's about making the best of what you have at the time, both in ability  and equipment and as the years have gone on, both have improved vastly. We always felt that one good sounding song was worth 10 poor ones !  That's what we strive for, That's where we always channeled our energies and it still is to this day."

Using Soundcloud as their main platform to showcase their music the boys have accumulated a decent following and gained a lot of confidence from the warm reception they have received from fellow musicians and music lovers alike....
