Dj Femme Normale's vinyl, tape and CD collection is extensive, eclectic and often unexpected . She began throwing some mixes together as a young teen and by high school, her musical selections began to morph into a series of mixes and musical journeys. Since then she has been working at her beloved craft, inspired by friends and lovers of music like herself. A student of the art of mixing, first with two turntables and a mixer and a microphone, she now performs with a an array of button-clad machines that are still blowing her mind and relieving her back after decades of carting two crates of vinyl on the Toronto and Montreal subway systems. With the exception of a few musical genres, you can expect the unexpected with this dj who loves to mix it up and introduce new sounds while paying homage to timeless tunes.
