Please Don't Make Me Stop [Free DL]

I started this demo around this April as I had been creating some IDs to play a livestream show a week later since I wanted to play some new stuff. I initially called this Tearout idea 1, which I guess I make my best attempt out of it.

I did remake some of the bass patches and called it tearout idea 2, which remained like that and haven't worked on it until the last few days of last month. I've worked on it a little bit more until I decided that I didn't like it, so I kept some of the original artifacts of the sound with a different drop riff.

For the melody, I really wanted to make an Egyptian-scale type of triplet melody with a vibrato-voice sound. There are 3 unique drops I don't usually do, but I still felt like they contributed to the same aggressive deathstep-inspired theme of Ghoul Hunt.

The interlude's lead melody is also what I wanted to include to help break some repetition of the triplet-voice-chords in the intro and second buildup. Anyways, there you have it.

I was sort of inspired by Celestia from Canna's Extragalactic EP, so I decided to include a color bass song. I went toward that direction of Celestia but then as I designed the lead, I guess the first and third drops sort of have that Leotrix-melody structure lol. I did put a twist for the third drop's lead which made me go wow, having used the note-envelope to automate the ring mod cutoff, so that was fun. I do have a scrapped second drop in the project that is a first-drop variation with a quarter-pulse lead that I didn't feel like using because the final second drop seemed more natural to me in terms of giving some room for the supersaw synths.

I was thinking of naming this song Utopia at first until I already have that song name in my 2017 album Optimist so fml. Then I went with Equity but then sensed that it would not be representative of the nature for this song since it has its political flaws. So then I thought about humanitarianism and from there I got this name which I feel that this sort of person are most likely the best citizens a utopian society, ehh something like that shit. Anyways, yeah here's some melodic dubstep.
