Report to the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization from Admiral   Henrik Eduardo de la Krank XIV on behalf of the International Space Collaboration concerning Chapters 26 and 4 of the memoirs of Natt Brus, in strict keeping the directive to translate the teachings of Natt Brus into musical sound recordings. Brus’s memoir reports the following story, which took place one evening in the Gobi Desert, mere weeks after Fanny Assingham had left him for a case of plain wrap beer and a buy one get one free cheeseburger coupon. Brus presented himself at the door of a secret temple and, to the mute surprise of the door keeper, gave the password known only to those who are granted unlimited access to the sanctuary- a vast balcony looking over a crooked canyon that wound a jagged path through steep cliffs.

Alone on the balcony, Brus attempted to enter a state of astral projection. But his closed eyes were unable to shutter a sense of agitation that had suddenly overtaken him. Opening his eyes he saw the contemplative face of the Buddha, serene and close-eyed. In a rage, Brus rose and hurled the statue of the Buddha over the edge and watched it shatter into a thousand pieces. When he sat and closed his eyes again, the agitation returned. There sat the Buddha intact and as serene as before. Again Brus hurled it to the canyon floor only for it to reappear when he closed his eyes. No matter how furiously he threw it over, and no matter how badly it shattered, the Buddha reappeared. Finally, as the sun was falling below the horizon’s edge, he realized he must throw it over one last time, sit and close his eyes, and accept the Buddha’s reappearance. This last time, he resisted the agitation, did not open his eyes, no longer contemplated the statue as a thing separate from himself, and then he and the statue were passing seamlessly through space and time.

It has been independently reported that when the doorkeeper came to conduct Brus to his accommodations, Brus and the Buddha were gone without a trace.

The Buddha Balcony Incident

It’s been a long time since I’ve made a song in Tabletop by Retronyms. Too long. So long that it has ever since been the beginning my my music career. It's not a fantastic track, but that's because I never got used to using Tabletop. It's a little iffy but it's getting there. I just have to use it more. (Some parts are really not mixed well too, just a warning.)
This is a song about being able to not give up during harsh times. Hence the name Verve, meaning vigor and enthusiasm, by google dictionary. 
I hope you all in highschool or college during finals are doing alright. It’s almost the end, don’t worry! But also take a break some times, you’ll need it.
I’ve got a 10 page essay but it’ll be all done soon. I made this song on my free time.  :P

This is possibly my fourth or fifth recording of this song. I wrote it 10 or 12 years ago after a line in a book about Neil Young made me laugh out loud. Neil was planning on returning to country music for an album or two and his bass player was frustrated because he felt this meant he'd be relegated to playing eat-shit boom boom bass lines. Impatience with this kind of music was the reason he had left Nashville, he said. Well, this song isn't really about bass lines or about dissing country music, which I love dearly. But it did seem to me there should be a song called The Reason I Left Nashville. This is the latest - and in all likelihood not the last - attempt to do the title justice ...
