Violet Core is a versatile artist—producer, musician, DJ, label and event founder, and trained audio engineer. With two decades of experience in the music industry and a strong presence behind the decks since 2013, Violet Core has become a key figure in Hamburg’s drum & bass scene and beyond.

The musical journey began early, with self-taught bass and electric guitar during the teenage years. At 15, Violet Core was awarded a scholarship to one of Hamburg’s most prestigious performing arts schools, focusing on singing, dance, and acting. Early band projects featured Violet Core as lead vocalist and bass player, laying the foundation for a deep connection to live music and performance.

Known for dark, high-energy DJ sets, Violet Core blends hard, technoid, classic, and deep styles—crafting intense, immersive atmospheres. Starting out as a vinyl DJ, Violet Core developed a distinctive style rooted in sharp selection and analog precision, later integrating digital formats while preserving the raw essence of vinyl mixing. Genre-spanning transitions and unexpected turns remain a defining feature, pushing the boundaries of drum & bass and incorporating a broad range of sonic influences.

As a producer, Violet Core works both solo and as one half of the experimental drum & bass duo Scary Woods. Releases span respected labels including Insomnius Music, Basswerk, and DNB Doctor. Notably, Violet Core contributed to the Wuestensturm Remix EP on Basswerk, alongside scene heavyweights such as Zardonic, The Green Man, and Zombie Cats.

Beyond the booth and studio, Violet Core is an experienced promoter and booker. Since 2005, Violet Core has curated and managed music events and in 2011 launched the dark drum & bass series Bass Forward The Revolution, bringing top-tier international artists to Hamburg—including hosting the acclaimed Therapy Sessions. In 2016, Violet Core co-founded the independent label Insomnius Music, a platform dedicated to dark and forward-thinking drum & bass.

Andrés Felipe rocha cuan, también conocido como sawar, es un DJ y productor colombiano cuya propuesta se centra en los géneros más intensos de la música electrónica: Drum and Bass, Hard DnB, Hardcore y Crossbreed. Su viaje musical comienza en 2014, cuando con solo 13 años asiste por primera vez a una fiesta de DnB. Esa experiencia lo marcó profundamente y definió su pasión por los sonidos extremos y la cultura rave.

A los 16 años debutó como DJ en el evento Synesthesia, y desde entonces ha compartido cabina con nombres importantes de la escena local como Jhofre, Evilhard, Ufoq D Frakz Kandal Brain, entre otros.

A los 21 años, Sawar tomó una decisión clave: pausar su carrera como DJ para enfocarse por completo en la producción musical. Empezó su formación con Camilo Ramírez (a.k.a. Ufoq DNB), con quien inició el proyecto Hardbass Souldiers —actualmente en pausa. Luego, profundizó su aprendizaje con el reconocido productor colombiano Herbet Díaz (a.k.a. Tetzuo) y más adelante sigue su aprendizaje con el talentoso productor Greender, quien fue fundamental en su evolución técnica, artística y conceptual como productor.

En 2025, Sawar marca su regreso oficial con el lanzamiento de su EP debut bajo el sello Natural FX, un trabajo que consolida su estilo oscuro, agresivo y emocional. Así nace Sawar a.k.a. Renacer, un proyecto que representa su reencuentro con la escena, su crecimiento interior y su visión de futuro como artista independiente.

Sawar combina estructuras sólidas del Drum and Bass con atmósferas industriales, basslines agresivos y percusiones demoledoras. Su sonido está diseñado para impactar física y emocionalmente en la pista de baile, explorando los límites entre el caos sonoro y la armonía electrónica.

Influenciado por la cultura rave, los sonidos underground y el deseo constante de evolución, su propuesta se define por la intensidad, la técnica y una fuerte carga emocional.
