so bright here! good ideas throughout this song, I do wish they were presented a bit more coherently, maybe with some sections that came back later, memorable motifs by repetition, etc.

Nice sounds, nut mix/balance and timing needs some improvement

There are some nice dynamic moments in this piece.

I'm curious if you played to a click / metronome and whether you did any quantize correction. I wouldn't want something like this hard on the grid but the timing issues here sound more like performance irregularity than intentional. The harmonic and melodic choices are very pleasant and wistful. The composition seems a little unfinished. This feels like an early draft that then could be honed. But the elements are definitely there!

very nice bells... so barely used. ....difficult piece to understand.

The main melody has promise but the timing is too sloppy. An instrument comes in too loud here. Also, "waltz" in the title suggests a certain rhythm, and I don't hear it?

a sweet little song. I like that it's not quantised. I'm trying to do sections like this. its a sweet song - but it gets a bit loud clipped at the end?

Where's the waltz??? I am only hearing 4/4 snippets?

This is my submission to the #kvraudio #OneSynthChallenge #196 featuring the VST Synth Primer 2 by Audible Genius

All sounds are coming from the Synth acompanied by a number of moderate tone shaping, mixing and mastering fx. I Mix/Master with MeldaProduction EQ/Compressor, Auburn Lense, Loudmax Limiter. All fx free or built into the DAW. DAW is Bitwig 5.3.x. No Samples. No Postprocessing after the audio export.

Primer 2 is a simple synth VST plugin built for learning. Designed for Syntorial (the award-winning synthesizer training app), it contains the most common controls found on most subtractive/analogue synths, allowing for a wide variety of patches and sounds, while presenting a simple and easy-to-understand interface and layout.

Certain To Fall

This month's one synth effort is brought to your long suffering ears by Audible Genius' Primer 2. Featuring the events of three and a bit minutes in the life of a nicely dressed bee by the name of Johnnie. He's judged by his peers to be 'quite good'. Listen in awe as he leaves the hive, flies round a bit, dodging the birds, and settles on a few flowers before flying off home for a well deserved rest.

This month it fell to Tracktion's Waveform Pro 13 for DAW duties along with ten instances of Primer 2. Layering: I've heard of it... Also featuring the following plugins:

- dpMeter5, Blue Cat Audio Gain3 and KClip Zero on clip to zero as always
- AudioModern Panflow
- Tracktion TReverber8
- NI Raum
- no instances of Valhalla Supermassive
- TDR Nova and Kotelnikov for mastering along with another KClip Zero to keep it all in check

MIDI for one of the arps was recorded from Pitch Innovations Eternal Arps. Patches are a mix of Init based and a few from the rather marvellous random buttons.
