We welcome back Michelle Sparks for another EP on Tronic. This time Michelle delivered two hypnotic, minimal groovers that are made for dark warehouse raves! We recruited Chicago Loop for remix duties. His version of Mindweave adds an immersive synth sequence and a groove that reminds us of the late 90s. Great Package!

As a Frankfurt native, Oskar Offermann has of course been a longtime friend of the Robert Johnson club, first as a regular guest and later as a regular DJ. After spending 15 years in exile (Berlin, where else?) and putting out music on his own (White and Rimini) as well as befriended labels (Mule Musiq, Aim and Hardworksoftdrink), the long lost son has finally come back home (Offenbach, where else?).
 
Oskar Offermann will debut on Live At Robert Johnson with three tracks that bring together his melodic approach and the bleepy sound of Frankfurt’s new school.
 
“Truth Within The Kilos” will be released on October 26th, 2018.

EDUCATION

Although 2020 was a year to forget, being locked down allowed me to educate myself on new labels, sub-genres, and artists. One of the new labels I fell in love with was D. Tiffany's Planet Euphorique. 

Discovering the label led me down a nostalgic path, reminding me of my appreciation for soft pads and melodies. I often get drawn to powerful, heavily percussive tracks that rattle through the mix so I wanted to do something different. 

PHASE2 was the product.

Romjet is Boiled Wonderland's debut E.P and a celebration of sounds and life from Cambodia. Once Max's home, Romjet traverses through a foliage of field recordings of local boat race bands, street side sellers and karaoke broadcasts. The sensory overload of S.East Asia is certainly captured in Romjet and is combined with the ethereal side of electronic music. The 5 track EP covers a wide range of bases within the electronic music spectrum from bass music influenced tracks like Romjet to more ambient mysticism of Sanharka. The eclectic EP references the constantly shaping and developing soundscape of Cambodia, pulling together sounds, dance and the nation's complex musical history. Now based in Hanoi, Vietnam, Max is a regular DJ and performer at infamous club, Savage, releasing on South-East Asian imprints On Point WorldWide Records and an upcoming release on Tomasz Guiddo's label, Fine Coincidence.
