St. Nelly-sade was born Nsubuga Nelly-sade in 1988. While at school in 2004, he met a group of friends with whom he formed his first rap group, ''The Hip Hop Gangstarz'' and they genuinely believed they would find stardom one day. Unfortunately, that fell apart when most of the members decided to change music styles as Hip Hop wasn't selling in Uganda.
As Nelly-sade became older, his fascination with Hip Hop grew stronger. His interest in Hip Hop was inspired by Nas, Scarface, Bataka Squad, Juma Nature, Lyrical G and Yung Vibes, who became a stepping stone for his drive for success. Before listening to local Ugandan Hip Hop artists, he was rapping in English, which wasn't sweet in his friends' ears and he was advised to quit the style.
In 2007, he recorded his first duet, ''My Lover'' with A.B Khale, which became a hit on local radio stations in the eastern region of Uganda. After discovering that he was a better rapper in Lugaflow (rapping in Luganda), he joined Hip Hop battles as much as possible. He battled in All School's Hip Hop and RnB Battles presented by Hot 100, Hip Hop Canvas, End of the Weak Mic Challenge Uganda, and one on one battles organised in different areas of Kampala. He also started working at Bonfire Nights held at the National Theatre and attended freestyle fellowships to improve his freestyle skills.
In 2009, he joined Bavubuka All Starz where he became a stronghold in the Luga Flow Hip Hop community. Along with a few of his peers, they emerged from the foundation to form a platform for their future success as The Luga Flow Army.
He soon established himself as a local Hip Hop activist who could not be stopped. He has been instrumental in creating a few of the most legendary pieces of Hip Hop in Uganda, such as ''K'akubiddewa'' which later became a social anthem. Nelly-sade has perfomed on national and international stages including Bayimba International Festival of the Arts, LaBa! Arts Festival, Uganda Hip Hop Summit, as well as performances in South Sudan, Arusha, Tanzania and in various regions all over east Africa.
Nelly-sade has contributed to many projects such as The Hip Hop Canvas album 2009 and 2010, Voices Initiative Uganda, WAPI, Open Mic Night Kampala, End of the Weak Uganda, Spoken Truth and Mic Stand Hip Hop night, which he started in 2011. He was Co-coordinator for the End of the Weak International Hip Hop Festival held in Kampala in 2014. He currently resides as Vice President of the End of the Weak Uganda chapter. He has worked with talented up and coming artists along with a few of the best emcees all over the country including Babaluku, Enygma, Cyno MC, Bana Mutibwa, Lyrical G, Ibraw and Kwesto.
Hip Hop inspires Nelly-sade to make the world a better place through the Luga Flow Hip Hop movement in Uganda. He is staying at the top of the game with The Luga Flow Army and GMC Entertainment together with Lyrical G!

G+ Creatives presents #UgandaCalling

With the spirit of being the change the recurring event format Uganda Calling presented by G+ Creatives SMC Ltd. acts as a platform for artists and creatives located in East Africa.

From May until August 2018 Founder Claudia Greiner, producer and director of G+ Creatives, scouted young artists all over Kampala, Uganda. 

Eight MCs made it to the finals. In a team of four they join the workshop to produce a music album until they showcase their work at the main Uganda Calling event this year.

I am Obwakasson born and raised in Kibera,Nairobi Kenya. I love music and its something that I picked up from my Mum and Dad... my dad used to sing in a choir and mum used to be a traditional dancer.

Since my childhood, writing has been a way to depict my daily life and to express my feelings. When I first came in contact with music I started to imagine myself on stage, with a public I can share my feelings with, and that would identify with them. The gangsta style attracted the young rebel I was to rap music, this free and sincere style quickly became my favorite means of expression.

AKESO SHIRLEY commonly known as SHIRLEY MAY is a Ugandan musician born on 25th July. SHIRLEY MAY chose HIP HOP genre of music because of her love and passion for the hip hop style of music. Before all that, Shirley May was a dancer way back from childhood to high school where she got the nick name “CIARA” due to her love of dancing and way of dancing and she also participated in dance competitions that led to her joining a dance group called EXTREME MEDIA DANCE GROUP and many others.

Her persistent love for music inspired her to pursue her music career and in 2014 she recorded her first single HOLY MUSIC with producer JT of YEGO Productions but she did not promote it because of school pressures and other business issues that held her up and did not favor her music career then. However, in 2016 SHIRLEY MAY professionally hit the music studios and released Grinding On and Weekend Party produced by Producer KingzLuvin of CHORD Flow studios, Tusula Ku Mwezi being her latest single produced by Nase Avatar of Portbell Drive Music and many other projects with different music producers. Currently Shirley May is an independent artiste not signed up to any record label.

Shirley May also featured in the Uganda Hip Hop Bootcamp IV in 2016 which took place in Fort Portal for two weeks alongside artists like Mc Ivy, Mc O. Kreezy, Crazie Wispa, PCY and many others and was organized by Bayimba International Festival featuring tutors like GNL Zamba, Sylvester Kabombo, Navio, Lady Slyke, Kas Kasozi, Ian Kagimbo and many others. She also got the opportunity to work with different producers such as Kas Kasozi, Skinny, Charlie Pro and worked on different songs such as Female Hustle featuring Mc Ivy and Kaytons Mc produced by Kaz Kasozi, Family featuring Gibbon Mc and  DMC Viniikizo produced by Kaz Kasozi of Little room studio, Keep it real featuring Kaytons Mc and Dizzy Kristu produced by Skinny of Infint3 studio and a Bootcamp Cipher Gimme the way produced by Charlie Pro of Infint3 Studio.
