Opening @ The Naked Tea Party of Mystic Creatures Festival
This was an incredible experience. It was not just playing a DJ Set on an island in Poland with lovely people all over the place. I mean, that's enough though, but this time I got the chance to embrace myself in a different way. Playing naked infront of a naked crowd was something new and looking back I couldn`t be more happy about the result. A chance to put my shame and thoughts aside and just be there with the music. Thanks to Danielle for the invitation and the trust to let me  start the Naked Tea Party with my Set, and everybody who came to dance ;-)

After having it on heavy rotation in many sets, we heard 'Zenit'; their incredible debut on Intercept. Psychedelic reminiscences, vibrant percussions, and hypnotic progressions characterize the eclectic sound of Ángel and Hugo, A.K.A. Mordisco.

Hailing from Granada, Spain, they play records and produce music together. Their approach blurs the lines between Techno, House, and Disco – providing a very free and personal vision to dance music.

This vision recently translated to an EP released on My Favorite Robot Records that included a remix from the respected veteran producer, DJ and remixer Sascha Funke. Also, earlier this year, their track “Zenit” released on Coloray’s Intercept records and made many dancefloors move.

Thanks to the organization and curating of their Mordisco Club parties in their hometown, Ángel and Hugo have been able to obtain an expression channel since 2011 with which they show their particular vision of independent electronic music.

That expression is clearly represented in the guest artists who have gone through their parties and with those who have shared booth: Red Axes, Fort Romeau, John Talabot, Pional, and Jeniffer Cardini, amongst many others.

The next step for Mordisco is the release of a new track right before the end of the year and forthcoming on Applescal's Atomnation records. "Ventura" has a punk-indie feel with a magic scat vocal sample that's right on the money and will make many dancefloors move.

As organizers and curators of the Mordisco Club evenings in their hometown, the duo has played a big part in bringing high ranking tastemakers to the area, ranging from Red Axes, Fort Romeau and John Talabot, over to Pional and Jeniffer Cardini. Their production work recently found home on My Favorite Robot Records and Coloray’s freshly forged Intercept imprint.

Continuing to blur the lines between contemporary electronics, Mordisco lands on Atomnation with their vivid three tracker 'Ventura'. Our pick of the bunch 'Odissi' showcases the duo's trademark retro tinged disco and deep house sound, brimming with psychedelic reminiscences, vibrant percussions and hypnotic progressions.
