Formed in 2012 by friends Oliver Geerts and Gilles Noë, Asa Moto purvey non-standard body music from their Ghent outpost, Studio Martino. Closely affiliated with famed Soulwax imprint, Deewee, the Belgian duo’s recorded offerings carefully juxtapose expert synth-work with aesthetic imperfection. Charming melodies and throbbing rhythms come courtesy of archaic tone generators and acoustic instrumentation alike, landing Asa Moto in a zone of confident sonic idiosyncrasy. 

Their studio prowess has hardly gone unnoticed and during their breakout year of 2018, Resident Advisor, Redbull and the BBC were quick to take note of the group’s steady ascent. Italo-leaning Kifesh was handpicked off of Paradise, by Resident Advisor, for their coveted Track of the Month feature, while the album as a whole received critical acclaim over at De Morgen, one of Belgium’s finest newspapers. The duo ended their year with an impressive four nominations at the Red Bull Elektropedia Awards, for Best Producer, Album, Remix and Artwork. 

Via their ever-changing live performances, Geerts and Noë have become regular fixtures on the European touring circuit, touching down for club nights and festival appearances across the continent.  As astute selectors, Asa Moto operate a bi-monthly radio show in Brussels, digging into their sprawling collection, ranging from obscure jazz records to contemporary electronic cuts.

Heading into 2019 with a handful of new recorded works, Asa Moto look re-adapt their unmistakable strain of body music into a full band live show, the Belgian duo’s most ambitious project yet.

<b>Martin Brodin Biography</b>		

Martin Brodin is a Swedish DJ, producer, and most importantly a music lover.
His serious interest in music began during the early 1980s, a decade in which he grooved to the sounds of Yello, Depeche Mode and Kraftwerk. Martin became instantly hooked on House music when he heard Lil Louis’ French Kiss in the early 1990s. His passion for Disco began with First Choice’s Dr Love.

A champion of the re-emergence of Disco, Martin Brodin founded MB Disco in 2010. This label has released music from the likes of Psychemagik, Ray Mang and Chicken Lips, as well as Brodin’s debut album. Leroy Burgess featured on one release and Martin has put out updated remixes of classics by Newcleus and Giorgio Moroder. The MB Edits sub-label was launched in 2013, well ahead of the current edits trend. 

Before MB Disco, Martin Brodin ran labels that were important in the development of Deep House and Tech House. His Deeplay Music label championed Soulful flavours from the likes of Physics, Jask,  Rurals and Dalminjo, whilst Deeplay Soultec released music by Martinez, Jori Hulkkonen, Guy Gerber, Noir and Tiger Stripes (as 12th Floor) amongst others. 

Martin Brodin has released music on labels such as Southern Fried, Buzzin Fly, Compost, Buzzin Fly and Nang, as well as his own imprints. His tracks have been remixed by the likes of Spencer Parker, diskJokke, Bottin and Faze Action. Brodin’s productions caught the ears of DJs like Carl Cox, Nick Warren, Andrew Weatherall and Claude VonStroke, who included Martin’s music on their mix CDs. 

As a remixer, three moments stand out for Martin.  The first was when he was asked to remix Human League’s Sky, which was released on Wall Of Sound. The second was his revision of Giorgio Moroder’s 1978 classic, The Chase. The third was the remix he did of She’s Electric by legendary synth band Visage.

His first DJ mix CD was compilation of the month in IDJ Magazine, back in 2005. As a DJ, Martin has played everywhere from London to Tokyo. 

Today, Martin Brodin is still an active producer, DJ and label boss.

Tash has made a name for herself busking on the streets of Melbourne and having homemade videos go viral getting millions of views online.
 
Since having her hands wrapped around a guitar at the age of three, the self taught artist quickly developed her own unique style that has people lining up to see her perform. Her vocal shines with a magical quality, she has a natural gift for melody and her virtuosic guitar playing is from another planet.
  
The young, one-woman powerhouse has literally sold out every headline show booked across multiple countries and played dozens of high profile festivals including Laneway 2017. Both singles ‘Jungle’ and ‘Notion’ were quick to receive high rotation on Australian broadcaster triple j with ‘Jungle’ been added as mega hit of the week on Netherlands 3FM radio and is picking up rotation on stations across North America. Accolades include a #8 ARIA album chart, topping the iTunes chart with her “Notion EP”, ‘Jungle’ coming in at #3 on triple j’s hottest 100, an APRA Award nomination, winning a J award for “Unearthed Artist of the Year 2016” and over 25 million streams Worldwide.
