Paul Roger Elstak (born January 14, 1966 in The Hague), stage name: DJ Paul Elstak, is a Dutch hardcore DJ, producer and label owner. He achieved national fame through his happy hardcore hits from 1995 and 1996.

Elstak grew up in a musical family. His father was a rhythm guitarist with the band The Rhythm Stars and the famous jazz musician Nedly Elstak was also part of his family. He spent the money he earned as a teenager picking tomatoes and working at McDonald's on purchasing records with which he practiced a lot behind the turntables, and through which he mastered record mixing. He started performing in community centers and clubhouses and in 1987 was hired as a disc jockey in the Rotterdam discotheque Bluetiek-In. He learned a lot from his experienced colleague who pioneered house music, Peter Slaghuis.

DJ Rob, pseudonym of Rob Janssen (Oosterbeek, December 23, 1968), is a Dutch hardcore house DJ.

Janssen was a permanent DJ at the Parkzicht disco in Rotterdam since its opening in December 1989. There he worked a lot with Paul Elstak in the 1990s and on his label he released a first single, The Beat Is Flown, together with MC Joe (Ludie Smitshoek). In December 1991 he co-organized one of the first major hardcore parties, De Houseparty Ahoy in the Maashal of Ahoy. He plays at many parties and organized with Paul Elstak, including A Nightmare at the Park in Parkzicht and A Nightmare in Rotterdam in the Energiehal. In 1994 he left Parkzicht to perform independently at home and abroad.

With George Rüseler he started the hardcore project Rotterdam Terror Corps, which also consisted of MC Raw, Petrov, DJ Distortion and The Reanimator (Patrick Moerland). By playing anti-Amsterdam records, he was part of the increasing rivalry in the 1990s between Amsterdam and Rotterdam in the hardcore scene mixed with football hooligans. DJ Rob appears on many compilation albums and has made many remixes for others. In 2000, the book De Gabber Story: The Story of DJ Paul and DJ Rob by Paul van Gageldonk about Rob and Paul Elstak was published. In 2001 he became a permanent DJ at Club X in Tilburg. He is producer with Brad Grobler of the German duo Dance Nation (the name Double Nation was used in some countries), which entered the charts several times.
