Born and raised in the Bronx, NY, The Martinez Brothers are two of the most consistent and recognizable names in the world of house.  Stevie and Chris continue to push themselves creatively in the studio collaborating with global and Latinx artists such as Rauw Alejandro, Fuego, Rema and Tokischa. 

In 2023, we find The Martinez Brothers in a moment of creative renewal, kicking off an exciting new chapter in their illustrious career. They continue to cast a wide net with their collaborations, stepping into the studio with a new generation of artists like Eliza Rose, Tommy Genesis and Mochakk.  

The brothers are furthering their love affair with Ibiza in their second year residency at Hï Ibiza voted #1 Club in the World, after 10 years as residents at Circoloco, Ibiza. Paying homage to the isle that catapulted them to stardom, it was in Ibiza that they met Riccardo Tisci who brought them in to do the music design for his iconic years at Givenchy (2014-2015). 

Last year, the brothers headlined London’s hottest show of the year at Beams warehouse alongside Skepta, who debuted his first house music DJ set in his hometown.  Alongside this, they played the Met Gala afterparty hosted by Dua Lipa and at LOEWE’s Paula’s Ibiza pop up at the Sheats-Goldstein home in LA. 

In 2023 stage hosts include Kappa Futur Festival in Turin, Italy, Panorama Festival in Southern Italy, Eastern Electrics, London, Fabrik, Madrid, Audio Obscura at Amsterdam Dance Event and III Points Festival, Miami. 

The duo are avid sneaker collectors and vinyl record collectors, from all eras of Latin salsa, disco, funk, soul, jazz house and techno.

Stephen’s impressive career includes playing back-to-back sets with industry giants such as Dennis Cruz, Hot Since 82, Traumer, and Hiroko Yamamura. He has also shared the stage with notable artists including Michael Bibi, Loco Dice, Joseph Capriati, Adam Beyer, Nicole Moudaber, and many more, showcasing his versatility and wide-ranging appeal.
Stephen has held prestigious residencies at Yalta Club and Solar Festival, two of Bulgaria's premier electronic music venues. His role extended beyond the decks as he took on the responsibilities of Creative Director for both Yalta Club and Solar Festivals, driving their artistic vision and enhancing their status in the global electronic music scene. 
Stephen’s deep understanding of electronic music history and its origins is evident in his dynamic style, which seamlessly blends House and Techno while maintaining a distinctive groove. He describes this groove as the essential component of any composition, ensuring his sets are both innovative and deeply engaging.
Since early 2024, Stephen Popov has been actively releasing new music, including a remix for Just2 and his first official EP, with more releases scheduled throughout the year. His work has already received support from top artists like Marco Carola, Iglesias, and Reboot. Do you know why the location in Sofia called “4th kilometer” carries this name? Because it is located exactly 4 kilometers away from Yalta Club. The square of Sofia University is the ultimate center of Sofia, the starting point. Yalta, located at the same spot, is the birthplace and the center of the clubbing culture in Bulgaria. 
Yalta is the first Bulgarian club.
It opens its doors for the first time in 1959, and is the coolest place to be during the next thirty years of communism. After 1989, Yalta was the first place in Bulgaria, where electronic music is played, as well as the first Bulgarian club, where the guest DJ is from abroad (Chad Jackson, 1992). For the first time in XXX the Bulgarian edition of the world DMC championship is held in Yalta (won by DJ Radi). Some of the brightest stars of the house scene, such as Victor Calderone, Timo Maas, Roger Sanchez, Hernan Cattaneo, Paul Oakenfold have stood behind the club’s decks … All the big Bulgarian DJs, with no exception, have started their careers in Yalta.
In 2005 the club opened its door with new look and concept. 
The first thing that can be notices about Yalta is that everything around you is part of one concept: the furniture, the lights, the sound system and even the incomparable view outside. The wild rhythm of Sofia outside the windows completes the tranquillity and minimalist comfort of the club, the result – a place in Sofia like no other. The idea is to feel as if you have been invited to a private party in a big, beautifully furnished apartment. The space is used in such manner, that it provokes everyone to take part in the party.
