Queens, New York Alternative rapper Prince Radio Ra releases ‘Frenemies’, a music video inspired by a friend’s experience with love, domestic violence and the thin line that some experience between love and hate. 
Prince Radio Ra is a rapper with a conscience, as he aims to bring domestic violence to the forefront of people’s minds with his new track ‘Frenemies’ and his upcoming release ‘L.O.V.E. (Loving on Violent Edge) which is set for release in the Spring of 2016. 

After a close friend was struggling with a broken heart, Prince Radio Ra watched him spiral quickly downwards and become unable to eat, sleep or think rationally. Eventually this friend engaged in violent behavior with his former partner and is now serving time in prison, an event which sparked the release ‘Frenemies’ and the discussion around domestic violence and how it can affect those involved. The accompanying music video includes footage of Queens, New York City and shows an insight into the world of Prince Radio Ra. No stranger to New York’s hip hop scene, Prince Radio Ra’s style is typically ‘New York’, with AfroPunk sensibilities and big, brash NYC new school style. It’s in your face, loud, and commands attention, while addressing important social issues in an intelligent manner.

violence within relationships, and is a strong start to what is expected to be an exciting release from Prince Radio Ra in 2016.

Dies gelingt ihm in seinen Mixes durch eine Art Musikalische Hörspiele mit Storytelling-Hintergrund wie z.B. auf der Funk-Originalsample CD „Obeisance to the source of Hip Hop“ die in eine Schatzsuchgeschichte verpackt ist, oder auch live durch ausgefallene Sets z.B. mit New School Rap Accapellas über 70er Funk Instrumentale oder auch durch Originalsamples in Vermischung mit den gesampelten Raptracks.

Als absoluter Vinylliebhaber und Originalsampledigger ist er in Süddeutschland in Ulm, Reutlingen, Koblenz und im Bodenseeraum mit seiner Cookerymusic-crew live unterwegs, macht eigene Radiosendungen auf dem Ulmer Lokalsender FreeFM und veröffentlicht Mix CDs die sich durch ihre Individualität großer Beliebtheit erfreuen und auch gerne von größeren Radiosendern wie FM4 und Radio Njoy Hamburg gespielt werden. 

Seit ca. 6 Jahren produziert er auch eigene funk- elektronisch angehauchte Breakbeats im eigenen Homestudio „Abtaun Tradition“ woraus unter anderem auch die Breakbeats „The Uppercut“ und „Explode“ hervorgehen die auf den legendären „Battle of the year Soundtracks 2008 & 2009“ veröffentlicht wurden.

Mit seinen Storytelling Mixtapes ist er ein Pioneer auf diesem Feld.
