With three single releases already under his belt, @ka-boukie continues his exploration of Afrofuturism on ‘Strip Away/Spooky C’. Teaming up once again with longtime collaborators @jonasdrema and @leon-somov, Boukie delves further into race, identity and claiming one’s space in the diaspora. Both tracks outlay the fusion of his own music history, with elements of electronic, drum & bass and dub, creating a promising teaser for what’s to come on the forthcoming debut album, ‘Rnig’.

Moody House Music from someone who cares, Oklahoma based artist HeartWerk creates brooding tracks with darkened atmospheres. HeartWerk has established himself as an active part of the Oklahoma electronic music scene, particularly in his local area of Tulsa where he’s worked to create House, Techno, Electro, Acid House, and More.

Next up in our Premiere series we have Running Back head honcho Gerd Janson remixing Neapolitan producer Partenope, who takes a strong influence from the likes of Underground Resistance, for a deep cut on the Neapolis label. 

Partenope certainly wears a big Underground Resistance influence on his sleeve in the case of 'Odysseia' - it's even mentioned in the press release, and we're not going to argue either.   But it's no bad thing, especially as it's a general love of the soulful, uplifting, musical end of the techno scale rather than a creative plunder of any UR track in particular.  The label has pulled out the big guns with a Gerd Janson remix to accompany it too, and Janson certainly delivers with his warm production bringing out the best via three way acid trance techno hybrid.

Planet Patrol is an American electro group originating in the 1980s. The members were Arthur Baker, John Robie, and a quintet of vocalists led by Herbert J. Jackson: lead singer Joseph Lites, Rodney Butler, Michael Anthony Jones, and the late Melvin Franklin. The group only produced a single album, the self-titled Planet Patrol in 1983, which peaked at #64 on the Billboard R&B Albums chart.

The group's most popular song, "Play at Your Own Risk", was created from tracks that did not make the final version of Afrika Bambaataa's seminal "Planet Rock".
