The Ministry of Sound DJ/Producer’s back-story includes numerous Aria charts appearance’s, Inthemix DJ poll findings, residences (One Love’s Prince of Wales, Billboards, Q Bar, La La Land, 161, Platinum, Sorry Grandma, Lady Luck…) and flawless appearances countrywide. Pete Tong ploys on bbc etc – Thanks to the Essential Collection. And the man’s name continues to rank on the Australia Festival scene, closing Falls (with Mr. Andy Murphy…) for both 2010 and 2011 – Mind you, throwing down one hell of a New Years bash. Backing it up on each occasion with Summadayze main-stage gigs come New Years Day.  

Having just been signed to Ministry of Sound, ‘Sassafras’ with Timmy Trumpet has smashed it  #1 on the Aria Dance Charts and surpassed the Beatport Electro Charts Top 30. Follow up records/mixes with Trumpet, Andy Murphy and Oliver Twist to come. Backed up with radio-play, remixes and collaborations for/with Chuckie, Joachim Gerrad, Romero, P Money, Wiley, Carl Kennedy, The Stafford Brothers and DJ PP (Hot Fingers). Add to that a handful of records on their way via labels Hussle and Downright.

Originally from Wanganui, New Zealand, Holly-J catapulted onto the Australian music scene in 2009, and hasn't looked back since. During this time Holly-J has produced and played almost every musical genre known, earning a strong reputation by constantly delivering fun, raging sets filled with her vocal edits and remixes, and has proven time and time again to possess skills to switch effortlessly between genres, getting the crowd heaving every time she hits the decks.

From running a weekly club night at the iconic Wah Wah Lounge in Melbourne, producing and hosting weekly radio shows which aired on both Fox Fm Australia wide and The Vibe in Las Vegas, managing two Record Labels, producing music for her other alias JINIXIT (Trap), producing both commercial and underground music for the ‘Holly-J’ brand, tutoring students in Ableton music production, teaching herself video editing, to now setting up and running her own booking and Artist management company "CrewLess" - this bright-haired, ambitious kiwi sure knows how to capitalize on an industry that one might say she was born for.

This journey which has spanned almost a decade has lead Holly-J to perfect her craft and finally discover a sound she truly resonates with - blending energetic Psy-Trance with Trap elements, a splash of her beloved Metal vibes, catchy vocals, and heavy Minimal basslines.
