Finnish producer Caira is mainly known for his progressive house productions, but we are delighted to share another side of his musical taste. "The World Stands Still" EP experiments with the Indie Dance and synthwave genres.

"The World Stands Still" comes at a time that is seemingly coincidental with today's global conflict. However put into perspective, this electronic track has very nice nostalgic retro elements packed into the pads and slower grooves. "Alone" is uptempo with an Outrun type of style. Its retro vibes have a futuristic sci-fi sound and should appeal heavily to the synthwave community. "Happy from Within" is another synthwave inspired track with an analog bassline and soft electronic pads.

For this track I used volca drum for the lofi beat as I've often done lately. Many of the synth lines are made with the minilogue xd, but I also tested out a modern wavetable vst (vital), a type of synthesis I haven't yet experimented with much. You can hear it in the deep resonant line that comes in for the final minute or so. I'm looking forward to further experimenting with it!

The photo is from a  strange national park in Utah called Goblin Valley  that has a lot of interesting rock forms. I spent some time camping with friends there years ago, though I didn't take this particular photo.

Alien Landscapes

The Ankh Wave project from the beginning proposed not to stick to a specific subgenre of Synthwave and the released singles show this, the sound of the songs range from Dreamwave to Horrorsynth.

"Tuning" is a collection of the previously released singles with remastered version, new versions of "Spinning in the Sky", "Aimless Driver" and "Cyber Apocalypse" and unreleased songs like "Collapse" and "Ancient Heart".

The album concept is a fun way to access this multifaceted and plural Synthwave radio station, but you can choose your favorite.

Revisiting the old songs was a way to observe my growth in songwriting and production and also a way to give thanks for the achievements these songs have given me so far. 

I hope you enjoy or have fun, this album took 3 months to complete due to some obstacles on the way, but it was prepared with great care and affection for you. Thank you very much!

An experimental synth pop love story about a couple that ended up finding each other by travelling through dimensions and falling deeply in love.

Side-Step Dimensions

A collaborative whimsical dream pop project which turned out so fun. It is going to be the 'Realms' album's first track and the theme song for our game in development 'Exit of the Exile', as well.
