During the chaos of 2020, when the world was in lockdown and live events came to a standstill, I found myself reflecting on my journey in music and the connection I’d always shared with my fans. Even though I had officially retired, the energy and love for the craft were still there. So, I decided to channel that energy into something meaningful—this two-hour live stream set.

Recorded during the height of the Covid pandemic, this mix became my way of staying connected to the music and the community that had supported me over the years. It’s a wicked ride through the progressive, deep, and hypnotic sounds that have always been a core part of my DJ sets. From the first track to the last, the set moves with an infectious flow, capturing the vibe of those late-night, intimate dancefloors we all missed so much.

With no crowds to feed off, it was all about creating that connection from within—mixing for the camera, for the listeners at home, and for that fleeting moment of shared energy. It was a nostalgic return to the booth, and a reminder that no matter how much time passes or how the world changes, music will always bring us together.

Gabriel Ben is a techno music producer and DJ known for his influential work in the electronic music scene. As one half of the renowned duo Tattoo Detectives @tattoo-detectives and co-owner of Teggno Records, Gabriel made significant contributions to the techno genre. His tracks, characterized by deep basslines and intricate rhythms, received widespread acclaim and support from industry heavyweights. Known for his dynamic DJ performances, Gabriel Ben captivated audiences at prestigious clubs and festivals worldwide. Though he has since stepped back from active music production, his legacy continues to inspire the techno community.

Lance Blaise & Gabriel Ben @Gabriel-Ben formed the Tattoo Detectives back in 2005. The Duo went on for 4 years making some of the freshest techno on the scene. In 2008, the two both decided on solo projects. The Duo reunited in 2012 to play some DJ gigs. Their music left a mark and will always be considered classic techno.
