In his new song "Here" a fictional protagonist says goodbye to his childhood sweetheart, who has taken her own life.
The new single «Here» addresses questions and thoughts that can arise in the bereaved after a stroke of fate. Compared to the "US Times Now" Benedek explained that the chorus in the song can also be interpreted as an homage to Shakespear's Romeo and Juliet as a metaphor for the suicidal idea.
Benedek succeeds in immersing the listener with his latest song in a world of emotions that could hardly be wider. And this with minimal resources: with his guitar and his unmistakable, comfortably smoked voice, Gabriel Benedek is able to warmly wrap the listener.
The song was created in collaboration with Benedek's producer Marco Casagrande from Vigaz Beats. "Gabriel has a persistent, provocative, creative nature in the process of creating the songs. It is an interplay of two worlds in which Gabriel usually has very specific ideas." Says Casagrande about the cooperation.

In seinem neuen Song «Here» nimmt ein fiktiver Protagonist von seiner Jugendliebe Abschied, welche sich das Leben genommen hat.
Die neue Single «Here» thematisiert Fragen und Gedanken, welche nach einem Schicksalsschlag bei Hinterbliebenen auftauchen können. Gegenüber dem «US Times Now» erklärte Benedek, dass der Refrain im Song auch als Homage an Shakespears Romeo und Julia als Metapher für den Suizidgedanken interpretiert werden kann.
Es gelingt Benedek den Hörer mit seinem neusten Song in eine Gefühlswelt eintauchen zu lassen, die breiter kaum sein könnte. Und dies mit minimalen Mitteln: Mit seiner Gitarre und seiner unverkennbaren, wohlig angerauchten Stimme vermag Gabriel Benedek den Zuhörer warm einzuwickeln.
Entstanden ist der Song in Zusammenarbeit mit Benedeks Produzenten Marco Casagrande von Vigaz Beats. „Beim Entstehungsprozess der Songs hat Gabriel eine hartnäckige, provokative, kreative Art. Es ist dadurch ein Zusammenspiel zweier Welten, bei welchem Gabriel meist sehr konkrete Vorstellungen hat.“ so Casagrande über die Kooperation.
