Day 8 Playlist -- VGMA July Challenge 2020

These are 3 short sketches for Music Weeklies' chiptune challenge.
I really enjoyed composing for this one.
Started with 3 different ideas / riffs, I couldn't pick up just one.
I used the Konami VRC-6 tracker and shared instruments between those 3 songs.

Woo! Day 3 and it's almost the weekend!

For today I chose to set music for a move called Echappe saute en Croix. This movement primarily focuses on the legs. This is a jumping motion so I wanted the music to be a little more bouncy than the previous pieces.

The video game prompt this time was Flipside, where you take a melody of a previous composition, flip it, then write a new piece. The main melody of the piece is an inversion of my day 1 piece.

Sneaking Past The Guards

Starting the second week with a bit more of a romantic era piece.

My dance prompt today was the sixth port de bras! This port de bras includes some interesting twisting and bending motions. There are also bigger movements from the rest of the body than with other port de bras.

My composer quest prompt today was "The Forgot Beats". The goal of this challenge is to create a piece where the melody begins on beats 2 or 3 of a measure.
