BIO:

Originally Davis indebted to the sound of grunge and punk, the typically rebellious aesthetic of a young life lived on a somewhat isolated island, Davis’ taste headed in a typically more electronic direction over the years, from hard house to experimental and ambient music.

Whether grafting away optimistic years in bands or taking hard-earned moments away from shift work, dedicating late nights and early mornings to his home studio, Davis’ sound has always persevered with a raw, emo- tional quality.

The past few years have seen Davis find deserved acclaim for a string of production and remixes that put those delicate songwriting and production skills centre stage, not only combining a timeless analog touch with a keen ear for the limitless possibilities of modern production, but a power- ful sense of rhythm that will both define and transcend a contemporary dancefloor.

Join me on an eclectic, vibe-heavy daytime trip into Sunset with some big tunes from this summer. 

Some of these were hard to find and span the best of the lesser-known Afro-House and Melodic throwback edits I’ve uncovered over the last month.  

More Background:

Every year in late July, 200+ friends from around the world converge in a Valley in Vermont for PYNK.

There are two primary venues for music across the four-day weekend: The Creek and the Cabin. 

The Creek is a grassy venue that sits just atop a beautifully shady, rock-strewn brook.  

It's not every day you can play an amazingly well-tuned d&b sound system to dancers frolicking in and out of the water as sunbeams shine through the trees.

I hope you enjoy this set, which was one of my highlights of Summer 2024 so far!

Adelia is a DJ originally from Prague and currently based in Spain. She has her unique vision for techno music. Hypnotic and otherworldly soundscapes with the power to transport listeners beyond the confines of our universe, to other dimensions.

Adelia is known for her precision and selectivity when it comes to choosing tracks for her mixes. She can spend hours searching for the perfect tracks, always striving to deliver a deep, hypnotic techno sound that transports the listener to another galaxy.

During the years Adelia having played in various locations across the Czech Republic, as well as in other European countries such as Slovakia, Hungary, Italy, and of course Barcelona city. Gabriel Ananda has been an established institution in the electronic music scene for countless years now and produces from emotionally playful, to primetime Techno a wide range of styles, without ever forgetting the organic groove in it. In recent times he has attracted attention especially through his radio show and same named label "Soulful Techno" in the emotional, melodic segment. Through several releases on his more dancefloor oriented label "Basmati" and further collaborations, as well as remixes by and for various well-known artists, Gabriel can now look back on over 300 productions. In addition to that, he fascinates with his gripping and varied sets, which take people around the globe on an emotional ride. Either from behind the DJ desk, or with his monthly Soulful Techno Podcast.
