Sonic explorer, visual bad boy, and all-around top guy, podcast 36 comes from Dream Software. Alex has a brilliant way with his record collection and is always able to create an atmosphere that is perfectly described by his moniker. 

The ever-growing DS project has recently announced it’ll be staring up as a label, with the inaugural EP coming from Jon Jones. Just like the rest of the DS output, it’s going to be a goodUN and this mixtape is no different, delve deep 🐬

@roza-terenzi has traversed continents, yet her sound as a producer is never quite of this world. Hailing from Australia and now based in Berlin, extensive touring and appearances at a host of electronic music’s most esteemed festivals and venues have only served to strengthen her skills as a producer, with releases on the likes of @dkmntl, @planeteuphorique, @kalaharioystercult, @buttersessions and her own @stepballchain somehow evoking both nostalgia and visions of the future through cosmic atmospherics and warm, alien grooves.

Likewise, her Patterns of Perception 95 is luminous, lush and vibrantly nostalgic: like a hazy, sun-bleached postcard from decades past, viewed very much in the here and now. Covering a lot of ground in terms of both tempo and energy - this mix floats effortlessly from downtempo to liquid DNB, from breaks to house and back again, showcasing her effervescent skill and versatility behind the decks. 
Featuring an array of forthcoming and unreleased material from friends, collaborators and Terenzi herself, the warmth in this uplifting selection stirs hope for the times ahead.

For June's Snorkelling show, @soundsfromthenightgarden joined me at Netil, and delivered a mix of refined, elegant deepness for the second hour 🌌

This show was recorded on a beautiful sunny evening, so for the first hour I played a mixed bag spanning ambient, dub techno-leaning and deep housey bits before techno powerrr towards the end 🪐

Intergalactic Gary is one of our favorite selectors, as his gift is to transcend the boundaries of genre. For this set, you can feel his inspiration as he plays his favorite music from far and beyond to close the ultra heady indoor room of An Interdimensional New Years 2022 at Marble Bar, directly after a mesmerizing set from Mozhgan & Solar. What we got was one of the finest sets anyone could ask for and the perfect way to bring in the transformational energy of the new year. We loved this set so much that we immediately had Jim Gibbons master it for the podcast release. 

Hailing from the Dutch West Coast scene, he is a denizen of IFM, and a Viewlexx veteran with an array of releases ranging from his own solo work to collaborations with I-F (The Parallax Corporation, The Conservatives). His focus on the decks is so deep and illuminated that he makes bridging many disparate genres and styles seem effortless. He easily places disco, early Detroit techno, acid, electro, house, techno and even further into a deeply hypnotic and compelling whole, taking your mind and body on a journey beyond the stars. A legendary set from a true cult hero.

When recording this mix, I imagined playing a set at 6AM, at the end of a high intensity rave outside in nature. Going from hazy pre-dawn darkness, to the sun cresting over the horizon and into glorious sparkling sunlight 🌤

A sunrise set for when you can telepathically feel the energy of everyone else on the dance floor. These are the moments I am missing right now, and this mix is dedicated to those luminescent mornings.

These are all my most sacred, emotional, magical tracks in one mix, including many of my favourite ‘90s techno-trance records from a golden time for transcendental dance music.
