Let'z roll back 40 yr'z 2 tha year of 1985'. The year I was introduced 2 Chicago House & much more. I thought that everything I heard on these tapes my infamous cousin would record for me from Chicago Radio all came from Chicago. Including that Italian Disco (Italo). 
If you look at all my old tapes from Chicago Radio Mix Shows, especially from the years of 1985-1987. To me it was all Chicago. Never new all these styles would blow up, including Detroit Techno b4 it was called Detroit Techno. This is the reason why I love sharing these tapes (mini-time capsules) with the world. Especially tha new generation who only read about the past & yet I lived it all. That alone in itself is a great gift God has blessed me with in Jesus name ✝
Yes I love Jesus ❤️ ...It's becuz of Him directing my steps here. The next step is 2 hit tha road again & share my passion & knowledge around the world.

One more from the vaults...not the best recording..I have a good few of Kenny Carpenter including some nice live ones from Japan that are more cleaner. This however is sweet, because it's Kenny how I remember hearing him...I only heard at Ministry of Sound back then and he was like many of the classic New York DJ's the real deal. A few things that spring to mind on hearing those guys back then is programming and presentation. Hot records or up and coming things they knew were hot and believed in. They would present it by playing for example..dub version followed by Instrumental and then the all important vocal mix. As the american jocks were used to playing long sets back home they were also granted extended sets at clubs like Ministry of Sound so they would play those records up to 3 times during their set...i remember a good few times hearing various DJ's like Kenny Carpenter, David Morales and Tony Humphries do this...you'd leave wanting that particular record only to pop into Black Market or Red Records..etc to be greeted by a smile and a..'yeah that's probably not gonna be out for a while' reply...

Anyways back to this mix...because it's Kenny and also reminded that 1992 was another great year for house music, many now certified classics in this radio show for WBLS...and a memorable one for me :)...enjoy !.
