Brazilian DJ, vinyl digger, party starter, and style icon Martha Pinel has officially joined the Toy Tonics family. Splitting her time between Rio de Janeiro and Berlin, she’s the founder of Assembleia, a laid-back Rio party that’s become a Carnival sensation, and co-founder of Croma, a music-meets-fashion project that shaped Rio’s alt-scene. Featured on the cover of GQ Brazil, she was named one of “13 artists changing the world.”
Her non-linear DJ sets fuse Afro-Brazilian rhythms, Middle Eastern grooves, Italo, disco, house, and Balearic sounds - always bold, emotional, and unpredictable. She’s played Boiler Room, Paris Fashion Week, KALA Festival, DGTL, and more, alongside names like Hunee, Antal, and Prins Thomas.
Martha’s debut EP Real Rio captures a rediscovery of her hometown—a city where beauty and chaos collide in dramatic highs and lows. Z The track Assim reimagines Marcos Valle’s classic Estrelar with collaborator Gabto, reflecting on Rio’s unique “Body Culture” - that unmistakable energy you feel walking along Ipanema Beach.

Up next on Brooklyn’s Scissor & Thread is the latest EP from @Snad, aka Shyam Anand (also known as Spandrel), the Berlin-based artist whose discography already spans labels like Smallville, Minibar, 20:20 Vision, Phonica AM, TerraFirm, Running Back, Cabinet, Kimochi and Dungeon Meat with remixes for names including Seafoam and Chez Damier. 

A trusted selector and producer in the underground, Snad has steadily built a reputation for deeply considered productions that balance classic inspiration with his own forward-thinking edge.

The AM Yard EP opens with its title track, a warm, hazy cut rooted in the kind of bassline architecture that recalls Chez n Trent’s Morning Factory but reshaped with Snad’s signature dreamlike touch. 

Anticip8 fanchors the release with a more direct energy, rolling, insistent and focused on the floor, balancing stripped-down drive of dusty samples wrung through his digitakt with just enough harmonic flourish to pull the listener inward. 

On the flip, The Pursuit follows in a slightly different mode, drawing on experimental vocoder techniques and filtered percussion creating a hypnotic push-and-pull that feels as intricate as it is understated.

Rounding things out, label heads Francis Harris and Anthony Collins, under their Frank & Tony alias, reimagine The Pursuit with their Housebeat Remix, extending its atmospherics into an even deeper headspace that glides effortlessly into late-night territory.

Gabu continues its new series with the next chapter, featuring Canadian producer Mike Shanon. Known for his hypnotic grooves and deep, dancefloor-ready textures, Shanon has been turning heads with his label Cynosure and his refined sound design.

On this release, Shanon dives into hypnotic, deep grooves layered with crisp snares and pulsing rhythms. The track is immersive and dancefloor-ready, carrying Gabu’s signature touch while letting Shanon’s own sound shine through.

The release hits Bandcamp first, giving early supporters exclusive access, before spreading across all major platforms in the coming months.

Iron Curtis has been quietly crafting house music for many years, so it's fitting he is the first man to drop a full-length on West Yorkshire's finest label, Hudd Traxx. He shows his full range here, and while there are concessions to the full-length format, such as an immersive ambient opener steeped in cosmic radiance, there are also plenty of effective club cuts high on personality. The minimal kinetics of 'Dial Me In' is a standout, while 'Tensione' is dubby and elastic house and 'Dance Inc' slides into soft and dusty bliss for intimate backrooms.

Hudd Traxx makes label history with its first-ever full-length album, ‘Dial Me In’, from long-time affiliate Iron Curtis. Aptly, if it wasn’t going to be label boss Eddie Leader, Curtis is the natural choice — having contributed more tracks across more releases than any other artist in the label’s history.
Across ten tracks, Iron Curtis delivers a journey that moves between deep house, ambient textures, and eclectic grooves, flowing effortlessly from club-ready jams to home listening moments. The warm ‘Speak to Me Baby (Ambient Mix)’ opens proceedings before the synthy, Berlin-tinged ‘1Up’ sets an understated groove. ‘Roxy’ and the title track ‘Dial Me In’ bring rich chords and deep house warmth, while lead single ‘Troubles’ delivers a hypnotic, low-slung sway. ‘Tensione’ strips things back with bass-heavy, breakbeat energy, and ‘Bodycode’ rides a beautifully deep house pulse. The final stretch expands the palette with the floaty ‘Dance Inc.’, the rolling ‘Signal Signal’, and closing cut ‘Slipstream’, tying the journey together in style. Originally "Back in the Days" released in 2004 on Resopal Schallware marked Tigerskin as a torchbearer for pop-oriented groovy House, reviving the raw energy of early 90s bleeps, swung beats, and untamed dance floor spirit but transforming it with the technical possibilities of the early 00s into his trademark romantic vision.

From the pulse of “Dance Now” to the cringey charm of “Party in My Car,” Tigerskin proved that Back in the Days was more than a look backward - it was a bridge between era's: a reminder that the roots of club culture still grow, still breathe, still move people.

Two decades on, this re‑release doesn’t just bring back nostalgia - it reminds us that reminiscing every once in a while can push creativity. The album and a few EPs around it were the start of a pretty different approaches to club music for Tigerskin, that led to several big tracks and remixes, some now considered to be classics by many. 

The three formerly unreleased and slightly more club-oriented bonus tracks had been recorded the same year but were amongst many that didn’t make it to the album.

Kenny Blacksmith’s “Church” -  the B1 gem from the third and final vinyl in M.A.D Records’ 5 Years anniversary trilogy - feels like both a spiritual offering and a dancefloor confession. It’s a track that perfectly embodies the ethos of the label’s milestone celebration: forward-thinking, groove-led, and deeply rooted in the joy of movement.

Built around a foundation of floating pads and a warm, deep synth line, “Church” radiates that classic Deep House sentiment - emotional yet understated, meditative yet driving. The bassline crackles with a textured crunch, propelling the rhythm forward while giving the track its irresistible body. Then, like a subtle revelation, the organ chords enter - not in grand sermon fashion, but as an atmospheric nod to the divine. The occasional vocal drops serves less as a lyric and more as a mantra - grounding the track’s transcendence in something raw and physical.

Blacksmith manages to make “Church” feel sacred without ever being solemn. It’s dancefloor devotion, distilled into six minutes of groove and grace - the kind of track that could turn any smoky basement into a place of worship, where the sermon is rhythm and the congregation moves as one.

Rhadoo – Baisbe Alt Bass (Original Mix) is the B-side track from his 2008 double 12” vinyl EP Dor Mit Oru on Cadenza Records (CADENZA22 / CADENZA 22), the iconic label run by Ricardo Villalobos. This was Rhadoo’s debut on Cadenza and a cornerstone release in the late-2000s Romanian “Rominimal” / deep minimal techno movement (alongside his RPR trio mates Raresh and Petre Inspirescu).

Sound Description
“Baisbe Alt Bass” dives deeper and more experimental than the A-side “Bau”. It’s built around a prominent, rolling “alternative” bassline — thick, warm, and dubby — that anchors the groove with weight and subtle modulation while never overpowering.
The real magic is in the percussion: vibrant, fizzing, almost chaotic layers of crisp hi-hats, organic congas, shakers, rimshots, and micro-percussive clicks that shoot and scatter in every direction like sparks. These create a constantly moving, hypnotic web — tribal yet precise, acoustic-sounding hits fused with digital shimmer and delay tails.
Textures are sparse at first but gradually reveal rich nuance: faint harmonic squiggles, warm acoustic-inspired tones, light melodic flourishes, and elastic, swung timing that feels alive and human rather than grid-locked. The track evolves patiently through micro-variations and textural layering rather than traditional builds or drops — classic long-form minimal hypnosis that slowly pulls you into a trance-like, weightless spin.
Vibe: Very deep, hypnotic, and immersive — warm yet trippy, organic-meets-digital. Reviews describe it as “quite hypnotic and very deep” with percussion that “fizzes energetically” and “shoots in many directions”. It shines on a proper sound system at high volume, where the stereo imaging and low-end depth come.
