The first release on Reinier Zonneveld’s own imprint, Filth on Acid, launches a special EP-series, Cocktails Mix series, whereby Reinier Zonneveld collaborates with artists that influence him, both creatively and personally.

Cocktails Mix I brings 4 different variations of tech to the floor. First up is Cold Conquest, featuring Stil vor Talent's head honcho Oliver Koletzki, together they deliver a peak-time track with lots of emotional and musical elements, while keeping a steady heavy rhythm section.

Adding Gem’s labelhead Secret Cinema to the cocktail gives us a purist no nonsense techno banger perfect for dark rooms and dirty basements. 

For the third track on the EP, we see Reinier Zonneveld combined with Gabriel Ananda, showing their emotional and deep signature sound coming to the forefront, with mesmerizing melodies and brilliant synthwork. Perfect for a night closer or sunny open air.

Finally the EP closes of with Matt Sassari and Reinier going all out with an extreme energetic bomb, featuring a machine gun like synth bass.

Andrey’s collection comprises of obscure funk, jazz, experimental electronics, synth pop, post-rock, new wave, house and trance.

For the new edition of Tightmix, Andrey Shcherbyna prepared a selection of tracks by such significant bands as Gosti iz Buduschego, Species of Fishes, Vzryivateli, Tэtris and many more artists whose tracks have been lost in the ruins of a bygone era.

Kicking off the first À la carte menu of 2020 (and one year birthday of the show!) with a label rising straight from Manchester: it's @Naturalsciences that since 2015 has been curating a very eclectic catalogue, including an incredibly diverse selection of genres and approaches.
From dungeon rap to fiery electro, from hardcore hip hop to jungle, breaks and trap, this label is the living proof that you don't really need to stick to a specific genre in order to build your own identity and become a successful reality in the contemporary music scene.
Natural Sciences has also helped shed broader light on artists as diverse as DJ Seinfeld, Textasy, Mutant Joe, Aquarium, Strahinja Arbutina, whose productions I was happy to explore during this hour of music.

Big thanks to label head Alex Hall for helping out while preparing the show and for all the behind-the-scene hard work he puts into this label.

Mix #036 in our series comes from Dundee native, 'Stalker' AKA Theo Middleton.

Stalker makes up one-third of the Public House trifecta who have been throwing nights in Dundee basements for the past year, tapping into the cities electro and EBM scene.  Although COVID-19 has briefly stinted their nights, they had some heavyweight bookings lined up that will be rescheduled in due course, after they previously invited our very own Ben Rothes to the party.  Take nothing away from the resident nights, these guys kill it.

Although relatively new to DJ'ing, Theo more than makes up for it in his real hunger for finding new music to bring to Public House crowds.  The knowledge is evident in this eclectic set filled with the finest in Dutch-inspired electro with plenty miffed off cyborgs for good measure.

Gael is a project by artist @gaelabakarova, a native of Dagestan who recently moved to Kyiv after a long stay in Odessa, where she participated in various music initiatives, taught DJing, and organized music events.

Gael's Tightmix 10 includes works by experimental producers in various fields: industrial sound master Anna Funk Damage, versatile Frenchman Emma DJ, AIR LQD, whose track was recently featured in the Metaphore Collectif compilation, and many other producers exploring the darkwave, slow and mediative rhythms.
