AYO’s sound is taking you on a journey into a world of dreamy soundscapes, drone subs, small creaky details, long evolving pads and slow beats. Through Scandinavian forests, white mountains and northern lights into a world where we communicate and connect without words.  By sampling sitars-violins-cellos, modulating FM synths, incorporating field recordings and playing around with raw data and noise, AYO attempts to create a timeless bubble of calm atmospheric sounds, that gently yet persistently makes ones mind and body drift towards a fundamental earthly connection.

AYO is the solo project of Julie Schønherr Rosengreen. Julie has been playing the violin as a kid both playing classical and a bit of folk music, but also composing her own and playing around...

AYO & I.M.D - "Luminous"

There is only one project that was able to speed up fantasies of Blue Room, UK - Saafi Brothers. 

Inspired by his annual travels to India, Gabriel starts a conspiration with Frankfurt-based producers Michael Kohlbecker and Groovetitan on researching unkown spiritual flight-zones in exotic club sound environments. Saafi Brothers quickly make their way into the hearts of music lovers with their debut LP Mystic Cigarettes.


Saafi Brothers walk a deep line between trippy vibes and blissed out beats. The origins of Saafi Brothers are long and storied, their brand of smoky, world-weary ambient dub first arising from the Blue Room label.


Soul wrenching deep ambient tunes are layered gently into tranced and bassy beats. Saafi Brothers' debut "Mystic Cigarettes" came out in 1997 on the british label Blue Room Released. With the today classic psydub album, the project consisting of Frankfurt/Germany based producers Gabriel Le Mar, Groovetitan and Michael Kohlbecker, immediately placed itself among the artists of the electronic ambient scene.


"Sweet Sirenes" starts off the voyage with bopping drums over a wide soundscape that increase in pace to reach an enfolding crescendo. "On Air" gets down and dubby as does the ample and floating "2046" both with a subtile but effective sprinkling of "classical Indian Vibers". "Together in Silence“ echoes through the magic of psychedelic ambient. Saafi Brothers get deeper into "low-down dub" and add drum trills that get the tune rocking only to space out.

It was logical to see a packet of mystic cigarettes on the cover, designed by Simon Ghahary with the fantastic artwork by Brahma.

Here is the brand new album from Astral Waves, aka DJ Zen.

Altar Records offers you a trip to the land of the Thousand and One Nights with "La Danse de la Lune".
This album is ultimately organic with a lot of instrumentation. Almost all of the instruments were recorded in the studio between 2015 and 2020, specifically to create the unique and groovy vibe of this album.
You may recognize some song names here, already released in compilations.
The work on this album was considerable: it took 5 years to achieve it in order to be satisfied with the results...It played in Astral Waves live sets at outdoor festivals in Canada and Europe and received many positive feedback. Gaudi really liked "Lullaby for the Godchild" at Samsara 2018.
All the thanks go to the fabulous artists who put their hands in the dough: Project Æolia on the flute, DJ Prahladji aka Patrick Bernard and Lydia on vocals, Rachel on the flute on track # 5, Elea for the vocals and instruments in the remixes as well as Sufi's Life and Merlin also for their composition work. A big thanks to Amani Friend from Desert Dwellers for his trust and patience as well as Louis from Suduaya for his amazing guitar play on track # 5.
