Emerging Belgian DJ/producer STEYA shares her debut EP on IMF, becoming just the ninth artist to release a full body of work on Marcel Fengler’s influential label. 

Her debut EP crystalises 20 years of devotion to techno, presenting a broad palette of sonic influences formed since her early days as a raver in Antwerp. At the same time, it continues the label’s philosophy of pairing a next generation artist with respected heads of the genre, with long-time Swedish producer Hertz and STEYA’s hero Rolando featuring on her ‘Dopamine EP’. 

Swedish producer Hertz – a favourite of STEYA’s (“I’ve played one of his tracks in every set since the beginning of my career”) joins the project to re-work the title track, upping the energy of the original.

Smygtittaren EP, the 10th release on Lømsk Records consists of 4 tracks based on the idea of opposing attributes: Energy vs. drowsiness.

"Batteritorsk" is opens the EP with its intense synth sequence, and basic rhythm while "Bedragren" functions with a sleepy melody, pads and vocals, and stompy beats. "Obehaget" takes things in a new direction with strongly compressed drums and a repetitive synth work-out. Rounding off with "Dykaren", which dives down in the swamp of classic drum machines and deep stab chords.
