Plaisirs Sonores Records is thrilled to announce the release of the 'Dual EP' by dynamic producer, Kabi (AR). 

Continuing our mission to deliver captivating soundscapes that push the boundaries of electronic music, this new release will be available on all major platforms from July 28th, 2023. 

Kabi, known for his evocative soundscapes, returns with a two-track progressive house masterpiece. With previous signings on renowned labels like Replug and The Soundgarden, Kabi (AR) is no stranger to crafting tunes that echo within the soul and leave listeners yearning for more. 

The 'Dual EP' aptly commences with the title track 'Dual,' a rolling progressive house number imbued with resonant synth work and infectious melodies. The tune, like its name suggests, plays on the duality of music - its capacity to energize and soothe, making it a versatile addition to any DJ's set. 

Meanwhile, the second track, 'Spicy,' offers a darker, more intense experience. This peak time banger, loaded with hypnotic repetitive synths, is tailored for the throbbing pulse of the dancefloor. Its compelling rhythm and tantalizing progression are guaranteed to immerse listeners in an exhilarating sonic journey. 

Label founders Hicky and Kalo are already advocates for this release. They shared their experience, stating: "We've played these tracks a few times at Stereo Montreal and New York with great success. They always work so well in a club setting. The reception has been fantastic, and we can't wait for the audience at large to experience these tunes." 

'Dual EP' is a compelling testament to Kabi's musical prowess and a proud addition to Plaisirs Sonores Records' growing catalogue. The EP encapsulates the label's ethos of delivering driving yet emotionally resonant music that not only resonates with listeners but also shapes the future of progressive house music.

Bout 4 years ago I quietly posted a mix called ‘burn the manual’.  The intention was to make a mix filled with a variety of genres/sounds…a ‘grab a record and just mix’ kind of deal, from the bins that contained music I wasn’t mainly pushing in the clubs at the time.  It turned out to be some higher energy ravey, warehouse vibes - a mix that went against the grain - against the grain of my position as a DJ in the local scene at the time.  I think a part of it was me subconsciously getting a feeling of being imprisoned and ‘boxed in’ a certain style so I compiled something ‘different’ than expected.  Fast forward to today and I couldn’t be happier to play whatever I want, whenever I want. 

With that being said, I made a part 2!

Hello Everyone! You are in tune to the exclusive Il Modo Progcast, our weekly jaunt across Planet Progressive. Taking in our scenes best and brightest DJ's as we bring you a brand new DJ mix every single week. 

As we continue with our tour of England's more discerning and underground artists, today we find ourselves in the Midlands, visiting the home of a prolific DJ, remixer and record label owner. He was one of the very first DJ's to put a mix together for us, so we are delighted to have him back for another. In front of the decks we know him as Rob, behind them, its time to get deep, with BELMS!

Belms’ influences and passions have spanned two decades of Techno, Trance, Breaks and Progressive House, learning the craft on a pair of student loan-funded 1210s. 

Over the years Belms’ sound has evolved in line with his experiences, interests and journeys, having played alongside the likes of Quivver, Luke Brancaccio, Joseph Ashworth, ANNI, Death on the Balcony and Terry Francis. 

More recently, Belms has been a regular at both Orphic Events and Magic Door in Birmingham, as well as running ARRVL Records with label partner Ritchie Haydn. His own releases have seen some great success, in particular with Hernan Cattaneo featuring his collaboration with VeeQue, 'Western Clouds' (Abel Meyer Remix), in his world renowned Resident Podcast.

Wow, hadn't realised what a journey SoundCloud would take me on.  After many years of passive listening to music I've dieted on a variety of tastes. My appetite for new sounds is undiminished and SC provides plenty of food. I am not a musician and have only recently started to listen positively to the sounds. My early years began listening to music from ABC, The Beatles, The Carpenters Dire Straits Eagles Fleetwood Mac Genesis Elton John Led Zeppelin Gilbert O'Sullivan Rod Stewart Supertramp Tangerine Dream Vangelis The Who and many more.
