The last Flower Factory Sunday of 2021 was some of the most fun I've had since I started spinning. The room was already pumped full of love by the time I went on (hi @AFTRMTHMUSIC!), so I went ham with a sonic journey through some of my favorite styles -- club, uk bass, ravey breakz, techno, electro, ukg, 90s house, and old school video game music -- cracking myself up so hard my face hurt. Unfortunately our recorder somehow ended up with 30 gigs of white noise from that day, but here's a reconstructed version of the set, in case you missed it. Love y'all and see you in 2022!

Our January Flowercast is resident DJ Gail Force One’s (@gailforceone)vibey, ethereal opening set from our second Night Shade party at Black Cat. Gail has been spinning since 2017 at venues and house parties around DC and NYC, plus the occasional rave in the woods. Their style defies easy categorization, seamlessly blending selections across genres and time periods for a highly curated sonic journey. For the 131st entry in the Honcho Podcast series we welcome DC's Gail Force One! Gail Force One is a co-founder and resident at Flower Factory, a DC-based queer DJ collective and party series. Having grown up in Ukraine, Tennessee, and the UK, Gail developed an omnivore’s taste in music, spanning a broad range of styles and time periods.
