This is based on something that happened on my row of houses this week. My daughter, Allye, and I live in a duplex and our next door neighbor, Eddie, died of an overdose this week. I found out while I was walking our dog, Mara, and passing by our neighbor, Jimmy, who is often sitting on his front porch talking with neighborhood folks whom he welcomes in with their dogs to mingle with his chocolate goldendoodle.
