In this episode the first hour comes from one from the FERMA Operators, DJ and producer Morphs. The second hour comes from 5ZYL, after his high energy Dj set from label's night in Athens and before his personal release ""Perplexity"", which is gonna be released from FERMA on 4th of May. 

5ZYL comes from the urban district Pašilaičiai situated at the northern part of the Lithuanian capital Vilnius. He has started his musical journey around 2007 by being influenced by old-school rave & breakbeat sound. By that moment, he started producing and djing at various illegal parties and open-airs.
In 2019 his 5ZYL alias was born and it didn’t take long to be noticed by Jensen Interceptor and by local talent hunters - PPP Records - where the debut ""Smoke These"" EP was launched. He has now released on labels like - International Chrome, Meta Moto, PPP, Crazed Behaviour, WhyPeopleDance, & PZ among others. His selections vary between Electro, Techno & EBM but they are certainly not limited to those styles.

Bass Agenda 82: Interview & selections from ANTHONY ROTHER

We're incredibly pleased to welcome the Geneva-based duo Bound by Endogamy. They consist of Kleio Kleio Thomaïdes, who is a multidisciplinary artist and part of the lauded Savage Grounds band as the vocalist together with Florin Büchel and Lux Rec label head Daniel Cosmo. Shlomo Balexert comes from the Swiss punk and squat scene and his artistic work addresses social and environmental themes. The duo have been touring most of Europe and boasts releases on Lux Rec and their most recent EP on Dead Channel Records which blew us away when we first heard it. We can't wait to her their upcoming album on the French label CAF? in 2023. Their 80-minute long recording showcases their distinctive brand of raw post-punk, electro and post-industrial style. We're incredibly pleased to welcome Dissemblance to the GF series. She is a very talented and poetic artist that the entire GF team have been following for a while and had the pleasure of meeting in person at Intergalactic FM fest this year. You can check her lauded album “Centauresse” on the mighty L.I.E.S. records, following up her 2019 debut album "Over The Sand" for Mannequin Records. Her productions bring a variety of sounds and invite us to explore the full range of her musical dynamics, leading the listener into her universe where the border between dreams and reality blurs into one, with no tangible beginning or end. If you happen to be in Paris on Friday, December 8th, do not miss her Dissemblance Live at Petit Bain to enjoy the full experience. For the series, she has crafted a special session where she gives us a unique and magical mix out of her studio in Paris, incorporating exclusive vocals and Rhodes improvisations over 80 beautiful minutes of thoughtful and sensory music. She plays tracks from the 80s: Schleimer K, DZ Lectric & Anthon Shield, taking a funky turn with Girl Unit, to arrive to some dirty acid music by Beverly Hills 808303, ending with a solo rough Rhodes impro through the Moog Cluster Flux pedal. This mix is literally a special journey through a solid selection, poetic vocals and inventive jams. Don't take our word for it: Lock in!

The series rages on this week with none other than Randstad! He is a producer and DJ alias of multidisciplinary artist Thomas van Linge. Aside from his many killer releases on the likes of Veyl, Pinkman Body Musick and many others, he is also the co-founder of well known labels such as BAKK, RUBBER, and the PLAFOND series. Although he is well known for his electro and EBM compositions, his talent and acumen know no bounds with more recent releases colouring outside of these lines. He's assembled a weaponry of tehcno bangers for the GF series with tracks by Stranger, Fresko, Lenson, Anetha, Peder Mannerfelt, Oscar Mulero, Schwefelgelb, Manny Dee, and many other. Lock - IN!

We continue the GF series this week with one of the pillars of the Dutch electro scene, none other than DJ Overdose. Hailing from The Hague and based in Rotterdam, his story starts in the eighties. His vision was to create a vibe “where the subs are devastating and the beats are raw". He underpins his work with booming Miami bass and draws on his love for 80s hip-hop to conjure up his signature style. He's etched his mark on deeply loved and respected labels such as L.I.E.S., Creme Organization, Bordello A Parigi, Pinkman, Viewlexx, Murder Capital, his own RotterHague, and many others. Famously dexterous in the booth, DJ Overdose has well-honed skills that make him able to tear up a larger stage or connect with a more intimate crowd. He graces this series with a two-and-a-half-hour live recording at the Down The Rabbit Hole festival. Lock in!'

The GF series is back this week with Ayshel. The young, Athens-based DJ is part of the Stegi Radio team and hosts her show CALL NOW for over four years. Her show features artists such as Pi Electronics resident Zorz, LVRIN, and others. When she's not playing Athens staples like Astron Bar, which sadly closed, she has been making the rounds at festivals like Healthy Summer Fest and others. Her selections are located somewhere between tribal beats, hypnotic melodies and industrial sounds. Her mix is no exception. Lock in for an hour from one of Athens' hottest up-and-coming DJs.

DJ Brad Rhodes is known for playing uncompromising genre spanning vinyl sets around New England since the late 1980s. He specializes in mixing postpunk, minimal synth, underground wave and industrial/EBM as well as many other styles of dark dance music. 
Currently host/DJ of SUBCULTURE, a weekly all-vinyl show on Twitch, he has held long standing DJ residencies at such legendary clubs as ManRay (Boston) and Club Hell (Providence) with guest DJ gigs at Albion/Batcave in NYC, Convergence I in Chicago and other events around the USA.  
An early adopter of techno/industrial crossover he loves to take listeners on a journey across multiple genres!

Recorded in one take on Saturday, May 18, 2024 in New Haven, CT. Such an honor to take a deep dive into the large catalog of Adam X, including his alter egos Traversable Wormhole and The Secret Initiative. Tracks span more than two decades of productions, being that my goal was to show the breadth and depth of Adam’s creativity. From cheeky EBM, dystopian grit, and psychedelic, heavy-hitting acid to the more stripped-down and spacey adventures. What stood out to me most when making this mix is how representative these tracks are of an artist who refuses to be pigeonholed by any one sub-genre. Thank you Adam for all the great music, and for keeping techno fresh, sans gimmicks and tricks.

J A surfaces on RUBBER with six disorienting wave tracks, reigniting the catalogue after a short hiatus. Crafted by Andrea Noce (Eva Geist, As Longitude) and Jonida Prifti (Acchiappashpirt, Opa Opa), these productions find elegance in their noir aesthetic and sketch-like composition, breathing filmic atmospheres of its creative process and the hedonist self alike. 

Straying away from the societal drift for efficiency and make belief, this record was produced over a timespan of five years, while shifting between Berlin and Rome. Dancing and loafing, mirrors were splintered and scattered shards reflected a new light. Here, Noce her serpentine sense of melody guides uncharted signatures of reverber­ating syncopated drums, while soundscapes move in and out as apparitions fogging the mind. The poetic spoken-singing of Prifti  subdues the tracks, through a linguistic form where Albanian and Italian intertwine, channeling her scientific field into art. Cleverly processed, the vocals take on many shapes, blurring lines between instrumen­tation and recognition, creating meaning where language ends.
