Cheeky Sneakers celebrates its grand opening in style as Denham Audio bring in a few friends for a masterclass in breakbeat-rooted club music. Opening track Single Minded, featuring the prolific Coco Bryce is a playful take on classic house tropes with a dark, ravey twist while the raw, stripped-out roller So Good, produced with fellow Club Glow affiliate Mani Festo nods back to the original jungle sound.On the flip, another CLub Glow affiliate enters the fray as LMajor assists on the cascading warehouse firecracker Down On Me while rising Japanese producer Kazuho joins to helpclose proceedings on the hyperactive Love Addiction.‘Denham Audio & Friends’ drops Friday 23rd April, via Cheeky Sneakers.

Detroit based LADYMONIX sends us into summer with her High Notes EP out 18th July on her own Frizner Electric label. The four fresh cuts follow on from last year's dancefloor filling Steppin’ Out EP.
She says: “I wanted to put something together that was a bit of everything I love from a few different sub genres of house music really - jazzy, bright, deep, big. Always sample heavy with the vocals, with lots of layered percussive elements, and dreamy sweeping pads in each one. It's a record that has a well rounded feel for any moment of the party.”

Crying At Supermac's

Pigeon Steve is a familiar face amidst the Glasgow underground, as the co founder of the long running Partial parties and as a stellar producer.

He has been involved in the music scene for many years and has developed a keen reputation for his work in the studio which is perhaps best highlighted by his bold decision to present this mix which consists entirely of his own productions. No small feat.

Last year he released his debut EP via Future State but by the sounds of it there’s a whole shedload more to come.

In terms of style, his music sits somewhere between disjointed Dub, Slo-Mo House and Downtempo which makes for a drugged out trippy excursion on the dancefloor. This mix demonstrates a well rounded approach and impressively carves its own niche.

Pigeon Steve: The 'Shine A Light On' Mix

Hey guys here's my latest mix, I tried to stick with all house tracks and get a nice groove going.  I'm typically very heavy on a filter and the FX so I tried to tone it down a bit in this mix, except towards the end cause fuck it.  There are mistakes but I'm only human.

This will be my last ever mix on the ddj sb2's (hence the drawing) as I've purchased new decks, so stay tuned for some improved mixes. You may also notice I've purchased soundcloud pro so I can keep everything here :)
