After the much acclaimed Daniel Haaksman edit for "Curimão" by Fernando Falcão, comes another Haaksman rework in the shape of "Ondas" (Portuguese for "Waves"). It´s #2 in the recently launched "More Black Atlantica Edits" series.

"Ondas" is an edit of an unreleased track by the mysterious Malandros De Berlim, a four piece German-Brasilian outfit that only released one 7" single in West Germany the mid 1970s and then disbanded.

"Ondas" is a deep rare groove samba, which easily lets the listener picture a late afternoon surf ride in the waves of Arpoador beach in Rio De Janeiro. It´s a beautiful deep track for the laid back DJs or the wee small hours sets that will create warm waves across any dancefloor.

The full Mystery Trip Vol.II mixtape - drops July 10th on Bastard Jazz Records. This project is all about going back to my roots: pulling out obscure vinyl from my global collection, then lovingly chopping, remixing and editing them into new tracks with a contemporary edge and classic Captain Planet touch. All 9 edits have been blended, along with other audio samples and field recordings, into a 45min mix, which will be printed to cassette tapes like my earliest mixes from the late 90's. Courtesy of Analog Africa, all original tracks taken from the “Angola Soundtrack” compilation series. Includes 2 that have never been aired and one is a vinyl exclusive. 

From St Lucia to Jamaica to Ghana to Colombia, London born duo The Busy Twist have travelled the globe to create their dance floor killing productions. 

Their debut EP 'Friday Night' combines these cultures, respectfully crossing sound boundaries and joining the dots between Afro House, Kuduro, Latin and Uk Bass. 

The London Luanda Remix Series is the result of digging into 1970's popular music in Angola. Acclaimed by BBC radio host Annie Mac, and supported by the likes of Jillionaire, Buraka Som Sistema or Toddla T, some of these remixes are already being played throughout clubs and parties all over the world, but were never officially released. 

The release of these classic tribal reworks was eventually made possible thanks to the group’s recent trips to Colombia, where they worked alongside Systema Solar, Ghetto Kumbé, Nidia Gongora and Palenque Records, for an impressive variety of original productions, collaborations and remixes. 

In alliance with Colombia-based label Galletas Calientes Records, one of these fruitful encounters, the London Luanda Remix Series was finally materialised.
